"Everyone's eyes on the camera!"
The poor directors had been struggling to maintain the twenty drivers for the past hour. All of them were positioned in a v-shape with each pair standing in front of their team's cars.
Lia and Lando were in the middle to represent their place in the championship so far. They had been bored since the first ten minutes and were only getting antsier. Their need to move around manifested in them pushing each other around and bantering while the shoot organized.
"McLaren!"
They both paused their playful argument as they were called out in front of the others.
"Pay attention!" the director scolded.
The rest of the drivers tried to hide their laughs as the pair rolled their eyes and settled down. Charles and Sebastian were in front of them and both turned around to flash knowing smiles at Lando. The boy blushed and bowed his head, pretending to adjust his stance.
It was no secret to anyone paying attention that Lando had a soft spot for Lia. Anyone especially close could see that Lia had one for him in return. The two of them normally laughed all the time. But around each other it seemed that the fun never stopped and the joy never lapsed.
Charles gave him one last wink before turning back to face the cameras. Lia didn't seem to notice the interaction.
She rolled her shoulders and clutched the helmet that rested against her side.
"We should add part-time models to our resumes," she joked. He grinned and they both looked up as the director announced they were rolling.
They both had to resist the urge to laugh as the director told them to intensify their faces. They were going for an intimidating look but Lia found it hard to do standing next to Lando. She could see his lips twitch in an effort to stay neutral.
The giant camera came past their car, zooming in on the pair as they looked directly into the lenses. Lia did her best to look the way they wanted and remain that way until they stopped rolling.
"That's a wrap! Thank you everyone!"
All of them immediately sighed in relief and scattered. Lando and Lia walked back to their driver's rooms with Graham and Charlotte behind them.
"We've got to get both your measurements again for the new suits next season," Charlotte stated, "We're trying to get them made as soon as possible so we can start early media."
They were led to a room that already had two stylists ready to go. Both of them stripped off their race suits and changed into the fitting clothes. For Lando, he went shirtless with shorts. For Lia, she remained in a fitted tank with shorts.
They both stood in the center with their arms out. Lando happened to be facing her as the two stylists moved around quickly. He wiggled his brows in an attempt to make her laugh, which he was scolded for since she couldn't stand still for the measurements.
Graham called for her attention and she turned her head to the side, accenting her strong jawline and side profile. Lando eyed her, noticing every muscle that he'd been too shy to notice before.
Her arms were slim yet he could easily tell she was strong. The lines of her abs trailed below the waistband of her shorts and her legs had softly cut muscles.
Her eyes swept back to catch him. He pretended to look down at his feet, but his chin was brought back up as the stylist measured his neck. He pretended to be getting choked by the tape, making her laugh once more.
"You guys have gotten lucky today. Training is postponed for the time being. When you've finished up, there's a few interviews to do."
Lia rolled her eyes. It had been three weeks since the whole Brax drama came out to the public. She'd been ignoring his calls ever since he'd first tried on the night of his exposure. Most of the reporters had dropped the questions about it after Max had shut them down, but a few were persistent. She had yet to make a statement on her socials about it.
