Romance Stirring?
McLaren drivers Aurelia Wren and Lando Norris spotted last night in Monaco. Pictures show Norris and Wren together at a restaurant sharing a laugh. No other driver seemed to be present so we must assume they were alone. Many are speculating on whether or not they were on a date. They were also seen leaving the restaurant in the same car, with Norris holding the door open for her. Is there something more brewing between the two?"Is it illegal to go to dinner now?"
Graham and Charlotte sat in front of Lando and Lia in the limousine. They were all on their way to the Autosport Awards, decked out in their finest formal outfits. The two PR managers had shown them the latest gossip piece and we're promptly scolding the drivers in preparation for the incoming event.
"There are already rumors going around about you two since the Monaco grand prix . We don't want to encourage any further speculation," Graham explained.
Charlotte quirked a brow, "Unless there's something you both would like to share?"
Lia and Lando glanced at each other uncertainly. If they wanted to reveal a relationship then now might've been the time to do it. But seeing as they were not official and had only been on one date, it was too soon.
"We just went to dinner," Lando stated, "That's it."
The two managers looked at them skeptically but decided not to argue. Both drivers shifted uncomfortably.
"Well in that case then maybe you two should split up tonight. We can focus on partnered media later."
Lando wanted to argue but Lia stepped in and agreed before he could. They both knew it was for the best but neither enjoyed the idea.
The limo then pulled up to the start of the carpet. Lando was told to go first while the car would make a second lap before dropping off Lia. The man gave her a good luck wish before stepping out to the flashing lights.
The door shut again and Lia was left in the car with Graham. He looked at her expectantly as they made another trip around the block. She tried to avoid his gaze but he was relentless.
"What?"
"You know we're not blind."
She rolled her eyes.
"If you tell us what goes on then we can handle it properly."
The car finally pulled back up to the entrance. She quickly smiled at him and put a hand on the handle, "I promise you have nothing to worry about. It was just dinner."
She swung the door open and was instantly blinded by the paparazzi. Lia smiled and continued walking until she reached the start of the carpet. Once again she was in a position that she had no idea how to stand or look.
She continued down the carpet and almost reached the end until she was stopped by a crew of reporters.
"Aurelia! Do you think you might win an award tonight?"
She blushed, "Well I hope so. But there's so many talented drivers here so it's all up in the air."
"And do you think your teammate Lando Norris has a chance at winning the British competition driver award?"
"I do, yeah," she nodded enthusiastically, "He's worked really hard this past season and has proven an asset to McLaren, so I think he's got a good chance."
She had a feeling they were about to hop onto a train of questions revolving around Lando. But thankfully someone came up from behind and rescued her.
Lia glanced over her shoulder as Charles pulled up beside her, a hand placed in the middle of her back. They warmly smiled and greeted one another with cheek kisses.
