Dear Diary,
We are still up at Aunt Drew's house. Mom says we are going to France, to Paris. I'm excited, but I don't like the reason we are going. She says that Dad wants us to go as soon as possible so we were both on the web today, looking at places and airline tickets.
Dad keeps calling with more bad news. I can tell because the way mom is when I get back from riding Bart. Her and Aunt Drew are talking in hushed voices, like I can't hear them. I don't need to hear their words, the hushed voices are enough to know bad shit is happening.
Mom called a man named Mr. Gray and talked to him. I guess he was a friend of dads during the war. Mom said that dad saved his life. Mr. Gray sounds like a spy name. You know, like Mr. Black, Mr. Red -- Wait, that was in a movie once, wasn't it? I think so. Yeah, one guy was called Mr. Pink and he wasn't happy about that -- can't remember the movie. Anyway, Mr. Gray is going to help us in Paris -- which means he is going to help us hide in Paris. I know that because of what mom and Aunt Drew were whispering when they thought I couldn't hear them.
So we are going to Paris and we are going to hide like people do in the movies. I'm glad I took French now instead of Spanish in school. Mom and Dad both learned it with me and helped me study, even took classes at the college so they could learn too. So we all know enough to order food and tell people we have a yellow pencil.
