Responsibility-16.06.2024
I truly wish I could cause fewer problems for you.
From the depths of my heart, I wish for that.
Nothing that I do proves that,
In any way, shape, or form.
Words can't describe how I wish I could change for you,
As easily as it seems when I write about it in my poetry.
I feel like a burden you have to carry,
Like a child someone put on your porch.
Something you didn't ask for
But something that now seems to be your responsibility.
I wonder what I would do if the universe hadn't chosen for our paths to cross,
If someone hadn't added another responsibility to your "to do" list.
You're wondering why I always overestimate you,
While knowing you're the only person who wanted to light up a spark in me, when the wick from a candle I used to carry left me.-J.W-
