If I could talk as delicately as she did, would I cross your mind?
If I could speak with the same flow you first heard in her voice, would you listen to me for eternity?
If I could caress the grass under my feet as daintily as she brushed every bush she walked by, would you walk with me to the border?
If I could light up a spark in myself, the same one you fell in love with when you noticed it in her, would you let me light up my spark in your heart?
If I could awaken a part of you, the same one you once felt when she fell into your arms, would you let me be the one?
My heart ached with yours as she left,
Into a place where lovers' hearts have parted.
It's such a shame
That a lover seeking your light needed to take away the spark from the one you loved.
