Lalo would be returning within 2 days. Ana had very little time to find solid evidence about the information Gustavo Fring had given her. She had verified a part of it. She was waiting for Nacho to finish his part.
As though on cue, her phone rang. She answered Nacho's call. He said he had an answer and that they'd meet after her work. Just as he cut the call, she heard a clicking sound on. She thought it to be weird. Maybe it was some sort of cross talk or interference. That's when it struck her. Gus' men had probably tapped her phone. That's how they knew where she was!
That evening after work, Ana waited outside her office for Nacho to pick her up. As soon as she got into his car, took a piece of paper from her bag and showed it to him. In it was written "Phones tapped."
Nacho had a look of worry on his face. These guys always used burner phones and discarded them because of these problems. He didn't expect his sister's phone to be tapped. Damn.
They started driving around silently, while Nacho kept looking at the rear view mirror constantly. Ana noticed and turned to find a car tailing them. It always maintained a distance, but sure enough, it was following them.
"Stop there." She told him, pointing to a pizza shop.
They went in and sat at one of the tables by the glass window, to clearly observe the other car. They didn't talk much. They ordered a pizza and began eating.
The other had passed the shop and went around the corner. After around 20 minutes, the same car passed the shop again, to confirm the presence of the cousins. Both Ana and Nacho looked worried. Nacho could only think of one thing to do. He took her to Saul Goodman's office.
Saul was waiting for them. Nacho explained what had happened and Saul remarked that it was Tyrus, probably tailing Ana based on Mike's instructions. He had a couple of burner phones which he handed over to Ana. He left the cousins alone to talk while he went to fetch some cucumber water.
Nacho started explaining what he'd learnt "I found out about the lawyer who bailed me out. Goes by the name Gregory Atkins. He usually handles all illegal cases. He has represented the Juárez Cartel in a lot of cases and won most of them. But unfortunately, he is no longer around. Died of a heart attack 2 years back. I don't think dead guys are going to help us."
Ana just placed her hands on her head. A dead end. There was nothing more for her to prove to Lalo. The ride back back was again tailed by the Tyrus guy. Nacho dropped off Ana at Lalo's. As she entered the house, lost in thoughts she didn't see the man sitting on the couch.
"Didn't notice me?" Came a voice.
Ana froze in shock before slowly turning towards the sound of the voice. It was Tuco.
"Hey, Tuco. How are you? I'm sorry, I had a busy day at work and was thinking about it."
"Busy day?" He asked as though he doubted her answer.
Ana nodded.
"Listen, the reason why I came here to meet you is to talk about Andrea."
Ana's expressions changed. "What happened? Is she alright?"
"She's fine. My son is keeping her entertained and energetic." He said with a maniacal laughter.
Ana just smiled awkwardly to go along with him.
"I wanted to do something nice for mi querida. To you know... show how much I love her."
"Ok. You have something in mind?"
"Yes. I've been thinking about it for quite sometime. I wanted to take her away for a nice relaxing holiday in Hawaii."
"Wow, that sounds fun. But you better talk with her doctor regarding the travel. She should be fine to travel now." Ana chirped in excitedly.
"Haha... yeah! Well, I came to you to make us all the arrangements. Book the best flight, best resort... best everything that little place has to offer us."
"Yeah. I have some connections in Hawaii. They would help me organize your stay."
They discussed Tuco's holiday plan and as soon as he left, she called up her colleagues to find out about Hawaii packages. She of course didn't use her client's names, knowing very well that her phone was being listened to.
She changed into her jammies and went to bed after dinner. The big bed seemed so empty and small without Lalo in it with her. She wondered how he was doing. She knew that during business visits, he tried to keep minimal contact with everyone. But still, one phone call would have made her relax.
She lay in the bed thinking about how she would tell Lalo about everything that had happened. After much deliberation, she decided not to tell him anything, for the time being. It wasn't going to do anything good for their relationship. But deep down in Ana's heart, a seed of hatred was sown by Gus and unknownst to her, the seed had began to sprout. She thought about what Hector had done. "That bustard!" A voice echoed from the corner of her heart. She punched the pillow next to her to vent out her anger.
-----
As Ana woke up the next morning, she found something starnge in her bed. Her head which was supposed to be on a pillow was resting on something hard and quite bony. She rubbed her eyes to look more closely.
"Keep rubbing it that way and your eyeballs will fall off." Came a voice.
"Lalo!!!" She screamed as she hugged him.
He placed gentle kisses all over her face.
"Buenos Dias, Chiquita. Hope I didn't wake you up form your beauty sleep."
"Good morning, sugarplum. No, you didn't wake me up. But I wish you had. When did you get back home? I thought you'll be coming tomorrow."
"Yeah, things settled quite sooner than expected. So I caught an early flight and reached around 2 a.m. last night."
"You slept here, with me?" She asked in a pleasing and playful tone.
"Where else? You missed me so much eh?"
"Me? Nah. I didn't even notice you were gone!"
"Ay, ay. That hurts, princesa. But I missed you a lot. Everytime I closed my eyes, it's your face that I see before falling asleep and again when I open my eyes, it's your face I see once more."
Ana kissed his cheeks.
"I missed you too, mi guapo. I don't want to parted away from you, ever!"
Lalo just smiled at her. He knew that saying yes to that would be a lie. As Ana rolled down next to him, she tightly held his hands, interlocking their fingers.
Lalo turned towards her and marvelled at her beauty. Her hair was a mess. Her face little puffed and cute. She had little bit of eyeliner on the sides of her eyes, which she had rubbed and smudged. But it was still the prettiest sight he wanted to wake up next to.
He slid his hands inside her tight t-shirt, which clearly revealed that she wasn't wearing a bra. He could see her perked up nipples. He started massaging her boobs. Ana just closed her eyes and began to enjoy it. He put his head inside he t-shirt and started kissing her skin. Leaving bite marks along with way from her naval to her tits.
One thing led to another and few minutes later, Ana lay face down on the bed, with her legs bent towards her body and ass raised up. Lalo was standing behind her ass, holding her hips and rocking her with his every thrust and making her moan his name as she felt his fullness inside her. He kept gritting her name out loud. They continued till Lalo finished inside her.
