"I'm so bored. Weekends suck." Ana sighed.
It was hardly 7 a.m. She was in bed with Lalo. His face burried inside her bountiful bosom or as he calls it 'his new favorite pillow'. Lalo just replied with a nod, which made her giggle as his thick moustache brushed against her soft skin.
"I never thought I'd say this, but honey, your cousin is much more romantic at heart than you are."
At those words, Lalo's head shot up. Now she had his attention.
"I mean, he planned a honeymoon. That too at Hawaii. Ohh..." Ana got lost in her mumbling.
"Señorita, please. If that cabrón knows a thing or two about romance, it's because he learnt it from the best." Lalo said with a wink and his thumb pointing to himself.
"Oh, really? Fine. Then let's see how romantic you are. Clear your entire schedule for this weekend. You're going to take me somewhere. Anywhere. Surprise me with a romantic weekend. Let's see if the boss man is as good as he claims to be." Ana winked back at Lalo as she uttered those words.
Lalo's lips twisted into a smirk. He eyes said that he was scheming something. They both just looked at each other for a while.
"Alright then. Get ready, we leave in an hour." He finally broke the silence.
"Si, mi querido novio." (Yes, my dear boyfriend)
They parted after a long kiss. They both brushed, showered and got dressed. Ana chose a beautiful floral dress. Seeing that, Lalo tutted.
"Wear a jeans. And do you have a jacket? Wear one. And shoes." He verbally laid out the outfit for her.
"Oh god. Are we gonna trek somewhere? God I hate those long walks. I get tired. And hungry. And..." Ana went on rambling till Lalo's index finger shushed her lips.
"Just. Do. It." His words were firm this time.
She just nodded and ransacked her suitcase to find a pair of jeans and a blouse to go with it. At last, she put together a pretty outfit. Dark jeans, a nice yellow baby doll top and a denim jacket and topped the look with a cut shoe.
Meanwhile, Lalo had already put on a light jeans, a linen shirt and leather shoes and jacket. He sunglasses hung on the front of his shirt and left the room. Few minutes later, he returned.
"Don't you have... umm... other shoes? Something to withstand...err... let's just say, heat." He questioned her while tracing his jawline.
"I didn't bring them. What do you mean by withstanding heat?"
"It's good. Let's go."
"Hey... answer me. What else do I need to bring? Are we stayin? A bag? Some clot..." she was cut short when Lalo took her lips into his mouth.
"Relax, muñeca." He kissed her forehead.
He pulled her hand and rushed to the front door. Ana had no idea what to expect. It was truly a thrill for her. Her excitement increased ten fold when she saw what was outside. Parked in the driveway was a clean, shiny dark green bike. A Triumph Scrambler, in all its majesty. One of the men handed over their helmets.
Ana ran and hugged Lalo from behind him. Lalo never knew that she could have this tight a hold on him. But he loved every second of her reaction. He was actually sure that she wouldn't want to travel in a bike. But to his surprise, this beauty was more eager than him.
"Will you let me drive?" She asked like a little boy asking his papa.
"Haha... well, yeah. Have ever..."
