Yuna's POV:
"I'm home!" I screamed as I enter our house. Mmm, what's that smell? It smells amazing! "Yuna! Come try these delicious cinnamon rolls we made!" Chaeryeong said while eating. Oh right, she's staying here for one night. "Oh, and we're going to tell you something later." Yeji added. Is it tea she's talking about? Well, I'm about to find out later. "Unnie, did mom make this?" I ask Yeji while sitting on one of the chairs. "Me and Cherry helped making the batter earlier. You have to try it, it's sooooo good!" She replied. "Okay, okay. I'll try it. I'm just going to change and put my stuff in my room." I said while chuckling. I went upstairs and go to my room. I searched through my closet to find clothes I can change into.
This set seems cute. I'll wear this. Okay, I'll go down now.
"Hurry, and take a bite before we eat them all!" My sister yelled. I guess I take after her, being so excited about food and all. "Okay, here I go." I took a fork and started to bite on the pastry. Ooh!!! That's so good! "Seems to me your sister's enjoying it." My mom said chuckling. I had my eyes closed, but I know for sure that was my mom. "Mom, you're the GOAT when it comes to cooking and baking! This is great! Why haven't you opened a restaurant yet?" I said while smiling widely. Yep, that's my mom. The best cook ever! "Sweetheart, you know I can't do that. I only cook as a hobby, writing's my thing. You know that." My mom had fondness in her eyes. What would I do without her? "Girl, I have some tea to tell you." Chaeryeong finally spoke. "What is it about?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. What could it be about? I mean, any tea sounds good *mwehehehe* "It's about my brother's girlfriend. We'll tell you later after we finish eating." She had a smug look on her face. Her brother's girlfriend? What about her? Well, I'm going to find out later.
Time Skip ~ 8:30 PM...
We already finished eating dinner. We're in Yeji's room right now. Nobody spoke a word. "Ummm, why are we not saying anything?" I broke the weird silence. "I don't know." Cherry said. Then we laughed. Yup, we're pretty weird. "Before you forget, what's the thing you were about to tell me about your brother's girlfriend?" I raised a question again. "Oh right! My brother's dating Han Ryujin! Yeddong here told me that she was your best friend from high school, so we figured we should tell you." She responded. "Wait, what?! No way! She told me about her boyfriend weeks ago, I can't believe that your brother was the one she was talking about." I said while chuckling. "It's a small world we live in." Yeji said while shrugging her shoulders. "Wait, I need to confirm if it's really Ryujin we're talking about. 'Cause what if it's another Han Ryujin your brother is dating?" I said, not wanting to jump into conclusions. I pulled out my phone and unlocked it. "Is this her?" I showed Cherry a photo of me and Ryu.
"Yup, that's her." Cherry nodded. "Now that you know her face, I need to see your brother's face to judge if he's good enough for my bestie." I said while pouting. "Sure! Here he is." She replied, taking out her phone from her pocket, and showed me her screen.
I looked at the photo for a good while. "Okay, he suits Ryujin a lot, so I approve. He is hereby worthy of my best friend's love." I said, putting on a fake British accent, which the two girls beside me laughed at. "By the way, it just so happens that I'll be meeting up with Ryujin tomorrow. Should I tell her that I know who she's dating?" Here we go, I asked the important question. "Wait, let me ask Felix." Chaeryeong held up her hand and texted Felix. "He said yes. You could tell her." She nodded, looking back up at us. "Wow, your brother replies quick." Yeji said while looking at her own phone. "He usually plays online games and spends most of his time scrolling on TikTok, so he's always online. That's why I wouldn't worry about whether or not he'll reply late." She responded. "Okay, I guess I'll tell her then." I nodded. I was scrolling through my Instagram when a notification popped up. *Ping!* Oh, it's a message request. 'Yang Jeongin'? Who's that? I opened the conversation. We talked for a good minute or so.
It turns out he was the cute guy I met at the library while I was working. He told me he thought I looked nice that day, but I hadn't seen him since. Until now of course. "What are you smiling at your phone for?" Yeji asked, squinting her eyes at me. Was I smiling all this time? Whoa, what should I say now? "Nothing, I'm just taking to one of my friends." I smiled at her, hoping she wouldn't notice that I was lying. Well, I'm not technically lying because I already told him that we're friends, but whatever. "Okay, but that smile of yours is different. You don't usually smile like that unless someone takes you out for food. This friend must be special for you to smile like that." She said. Phew! She dropped the topic, but she still looked skeptical. "You know what? I'm getting sleepy. I'm going to bed. Good night you two!" I said as I stretched a bit. "It is getting late, so I guess I should sleep too. Good night!" Chaeryeong said, also standing up from the bed. "Good night, sweet dreams you two." Yeji replied. I went to my room, and Chaeryeong went to our guest room. I enter my bathroom, remove my make-up, and brush my teeth. I went straight to my bed and closed my eyes. I need to get rest, I have to meet up with Ryujin tomorrow.
