Albus POV,
I was enjoying my breakfast with my parents and sister Lily, when i heard someone yelling my name.
"ALBUS ALBUS ALBUS" i turned around and saw my brother James running towards me while holding some kind of letter in his hand.
" James no shouting!!" our mom yelling at him made him giggle and apologize and he handed the letter to me.
"It's your Hogwarts letter" James says with excitement in his voice. Our mom clap her hand and says
"Congrats Albus"
"Yay Big Brother!" Lily jumped a little from her seat. I took the letter from James hand and looked deeply at it. Suddenly i feel someone ruffled my hair.
I looked up and saw James give me a small smile. I looked over to my father and saw that his eye is still glued on the daily propert. He suddenly got up and got his work bag.
He went to mom and gave her a little kiss. He was at the door when he says he may be home late and says congrats to me for my Hogwarts letter. I feel anger built inside of me.
I grab my bread and run to my room. I sit at my bed and lean at my head bed while hugging my knee. I heard someone open the door of my room and close it. I feel someone sits on my bed beside me.
I already know who it was. He ran his hand through my hair in a comfortable way. James then says.
"He still congratulates you"
"He doesn't even look at me" i say in a sad voice. I feel James hugging me and i return it since i really need it. I started to cry on James shoulder while he rubbed my back.
It's just my dad and I some problem with our relationship. It's not like he completely ignored my present. It's just he barely give me attention than any of my siblings.
James is dad favourite and Lily is mom favourite. Sometimes I feel lonely in my own house. If not my siblings still care for me, i probably will go insane.
James try to be there for me as much as he can. He knows that dad and mom not give me enough time with then. After he goes to Hogwarts,i feel so lonely and just be in my room while waiting for James letter.
Lily also try to spend time with me but she always prefer to spend time with mom. It's because she took interest in Quidditch but i can't find myself in those spots. So Lily likes to spend more time with mom since she is a professional Quidditch player.
"It's alright little bro" James try to calm me down. After a few minutes, i finally stop crying and let go of James and look at my Hogwarts letter.
"What about you do your best on Hogwarts. I'm sure he will be proud of you for good grades other than me who just loves prank people" i giggle at James word. It's true though. James love to do prank with his friends other than his grades but his grades is always average so he doesn't get much trouble.
I nodded and say,
"You are right. I will do my best. I want to make him proud. " James give me a sad smile and says
"Just be sure to still make friends and enjoy your school time alright?"
"Ok"
