The ball room was full . Cygnus was fiddling with the cufflinks. Druella swat his hands away. Patting unseen dust " stop it darling if it is Ara she'll reach out trust me . " taking a deep breath "I know. You think he'll show up?" Shrugging she mumbled"Who knows ".
If you did scan the room you'll see that most of the blacks where here except for his brother and sister, walburga, that wasn't here still. His father was socializing with the noble house of nott and Rosier. And his uncle and head of the house of black was talking to some ministry officials . When he caught his nephew's eyes he excused himself and headed towards him.
"You think they will show up? the Potters you know we don't get along anymore not since....you know...." Arcturus black was never the sensitive man. But the Potter girl that crashed into their lives claimed a soft spot in his cruel heart. He took her in as the daughter he never got to have. And she took special care of him and taught him kindness. The day she disappeared he turned the wizarding Britain upside-down to find her but fate had other plans.
"I heard they were back in the city. So they might." Cygnus was uncertain about the possibility they show up and he didn't care enough. But what he cared most about was Ara pervell or should he call her Ara Potter to make appearance.

Walburga was furious now that she saw the Potters enter the ball. She didn't care to hide her sneer. As euphemia greeted druella with a hug. Sirius was glad his best mate was here and the pair didn't spare a second and went to God knows where. However the youngest black brother was socializing with his peers Evan rosier and Pandora rosier.
"Thank you for gracing us with your presence we are honored to have you here." Cygnus greeted the Potters. Knowing his father , flaemont replied monotonously "the pleasure is all ours" .Spreading around the room the Potters where on alert.
Ara and barty arrived few minutes later. As she stepped in the room all eyes where on her. The black couple greeted her. "Thank you for inviting us" Ara said.
"Oh ... Thank you for attending. Hope you have a good time." Cygnus said as druella tightened her grip on his hand.
" Mrs. Black allow me to say you look stunning." Ara praised.
"It means a lot coming from you my lady"
"Let us have a tea some time."
"I definitely will "
"Now excuse us we have to greet some guests ". Cygnus interrupted. Then proceeded to greet someone she didn't quite recognize.
Barty all the time was attached to Ara's hip . He followed her like a shadow.
"I'll be fine barty go to your friends " ara said with her hand cressing his hair. Then pressing a kiss on his forehead.
"I can't leave you alone. Look at all these people anyone can hurt you. And mostly look at all these men" clicking his tongue in distaste. And gave her a 'you are so innocent I have to protect you' look .
"Look there's Monty I'll be fine with him. Just go and have fun" he didn't leave her side until she was next to her brother and not before instructing " don't let her out of your sight." When Monty raised a brow he simply said "too much men" .
Ara had a couple of drinks when she finally decided to confront her old acquaintance. On her way she pumped with someone she didn't really care as she threw an excuse me over her shoulder. As she spotted them talking to some ministry official.
"Mr. Black a word if you please"Ara kindly smiled at the officials while Cygnus excused himself. "Want to talk in my study?"
"That'll be nice" Ara said giving a final look to her brother.

Barty stepped next to his friends finally.
"Finally gracing us with your presence" Evan mocked a gentleman greeting.
"Oh shut up rosier " barty shoved him aside.
"What took so long?" Came Pandora's voice.
"Just making sure my mom is in good hands "
"Ohh ... Barty becoming Mama's boy " Regulus teased.
"I want to meet the woman that changed you like that." Pandora excitedly said.
"Yes maybe you can drop by some time?" Barty asked
"Maybe "they answered.

"So you are telling me that barty crouch Jr is a good man?"
"That's what I have been saying Sirius" James huffed."He was..." James eyes caught the sight of his aunt and Cygnus black going together. Alarms rang in his head .... Danger ... He has to get barty .and started searching for him instantly leaving a confused Sirius hot on his heels "Hey James what happened?"
"Do you see barty anywhere?" He was panicking... He's not losing her.
"He's with Reggie over there" Sirius pointed out.
Rushing to Barty's side."arty" he called. The mentioned boy looked at him sensing his panic " what's wrong Jamie?"
He took him away " aunty was with Cygnus alone going to God knows where"
"But I left her with your father. What is he doing?"
From a far the group looked at the pair as if they grew a second head. "When did this happen?" Evan rosier asked Sirius frowning." I wish I knew ".
