everyone had flipped out due to rick not telling the group they were all infected , ruby just went back into the car and sat inside.
for a second glenn worried that ruby wasn't in eye sight but he calmed down once she told him she was here , safe and sound.
ruby liked the feeling of someone being worried that she wasn't in their sight. she liked how glenn would take care of her.
everyone just sat around now as lori and rick were talking.

it was dark now , t-dog was keeping watch and ruby was cuddled into glenn's side half asleep. carl was right next to her but he was cuddled into loris side.
everyone had their little side conversation but maggie , beth and glenn were quiet. beth was cuddled with hershel. "i think we should take our chances" maggie spoke up looking glenn then hershel.
"don't be foolish , there's no food no fuel , no amo." hershel said strictly. beth was eerily silent.
rustling was heard in the bushes , daryl immediately stood up. "what was that?" beth asked worried.
"could be anything. could be a raccoon, possum ."
"a walker." glenn finished.
"we need to leave. i mean what are we eating for?!" carol asked frantic.
"which way?" glenn asked maggie.
"it came from over there. back where we came." maggie replied.
glenn had his gun in hand and so did maggie.
"last thing we need is for everyone to be running off in the dark. we don't have the vehicles. no one's traveling on foot." rick said.
"don't panic!" hershel exclaimed.
"i'm not. i'm not sitting here for another herd to come through. we need to move , now."maggie said shaking her head.
silence.
"do something!" carol spoke firmly.
"i am! i'm keeping the group together, alive! i've been doing that all along. i didn't ask for this! i killed my best friend for you people for christ sake!" rick whisper yelled.
ruby look at carl knowing he liked shane. everyone's jaw dropped , carl started crying upset.
"you saw what he was like. how he pushed me. how he compromised us. how he threatened us. he staged the whole randall thing. led me out to put a bullet in my back. he gave me no choice!" rick explained frustration evident.
"he was my friend but he came after me. my hands are clean." rick said looking at carl who was sobbing.
"maybe you people are better off without me. go ahead! i say there's a place for us but maybe it's just another pipe dream! why don't you go find out yourself! send me a post card!" rick half yelled angrily.
"let's see how far you get! no takers fine? get one thing straight. if your staying , this isn't a democracy anymore." rick said he looked numb.
ruby sat on the floor unfazed. she didn't like shane. she was glad he was dead. but nothing was ok.
winter was coming. people would get sick , hungry , and tired.
winter is coming.
