"Emilio! Rodelito!"

Emilia almost blinded her eyes for crying day and night.
Her husband, Rodel, couldn't take seeing her like this everyday. He heard from Chief Dimayuga kung paano napigilan ng isang babae ang mga human traffickers at nasalba nila ang mga batang idadaong na sana sa barko upang dalhin sa malayong lugar.

"Veira and family, these are the two boys' parents, Mayor Rodel and Ginang Emilia."
The two families shook the hands of each other while their minds had different thoughts about today's matter.
With that kind introduction, Emilia and Mayor Rodel couldn't help but be at awe with the Tan's family's kindness.
After saving the kids, they even fostered seven of them na hindi agad natagpuan ang mga pamilya. Kahit dalawang buwan pa lamang ang nakakalipas, just by looking at the kids' complexion, it was evident that they had been taken care well.

Seemed like they were really going to lose Rodelito and Emilio this time.

"Mama, Papa! Look! They are our brothers and sisters, Ate Luna, Kuya Andres, Clara and Angel." Excited na pinakilala nila Emilio at Rodelito sa limang kapwa bata nila.
Masigla din nilang ikinuwento ang mga ginawa nila kasama ang mga ito and they kept calling them their sisters and brother.
Originally, Mayor Rodelito and Emilia feared na baka may trauma pa ang mga bata dahil sa pagkakakuha sa kanila ng mga human traffickers. Although Chief Dimayuga assured them that Veira had been bringing the children to the doctors, they were still having concerns. But seeing them now and hearing their stories about their fun times with Veira's family, it was like a huge thorn was taken out from their hearts.
"The doctor said they need at least four more months before she can tell if the children still need intervention about the children's mental health. "You can just call me Emilia. Given our current situation, I believe that our two families are fated to be closely acquainted. The children are still calling you Mama Veira. We can be sworn sister so that they can continue calling you the same."
It would be a lie to say na hindi natouch si Veira sa tinuran ni Emilia sa kanya.

"Veira, whatever we can do for you, just let us know. Especially kung tungkol sa mga bata." Mayor Rodelito genuinely offered.
"Indeed, Veira. Just come to our home or send someone to us and we will do our best to help you."
Veira agreed at once. She was hoping not, but if she will really need help in the future, she would take them up for their promise today.
