June 5th, 1980 - Two days later

Two days had passed and in that time Maizelle had managed to began walking and saying more than just dada. Tom had made all the death eaters introduce themselves for her to repeat. She had managed to recite each name but had resorted to consistently saying the names of those she favoured.

"Dada"

"Trix" for her 'aunt' and one of her fathers favourites followers, Bellatrix.

"Sissa" for Narcissa.

"Luci" for Lucius.

"Char" for Charles.

"An" for Anna, although her father would often get her to correct herself and say their proper names to help her further her knowledge and annunciate her words more clearly.

"Maizelle." A soft voice had called out cautiously. Maizelle was sitting amongst her toys on the floor of her room. With her block in hand, she scooted around on the floor. There in the door way stood Narcissa and Lucius, a black bundle in Narcissa's arms. The women was being supported by her husband, his arm wrapped around her. "Sissa! Luci!" The girl cried quietly, her arms flying upwards in excitement, the block being forgot as it fell to the carpet.

All nerves that had been running through them seemed to wash away as the Malfoy's took in her joy. "Maizelle, there is someone we would like you to meet, hm! Can you be gentle?" Lucius asked cautiously as he guided his wife to the black rocking chair sitting in the corner of the room. She nodded her head rapidly in understanding. With a soft nod he picked her up and brought her over to Narcissa. "This, sweetheart, is our son Draco. He's just like you." Narcissa pointed at the bundle in her arms.

Within the black blanket laid a baby with bleach blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Taking in the child before her she couldn't help but feel a sense of something swell in her chest. "Mattheo." she said, her eyes sparkling.

"This is Draco."

"Mattheo."

"Draco."

"Mattheo."

"Draco."

"Mattheo."

"Draco."

"Mattheo."

"Draco."

"She means that Draco is just like Mattheo." A cold voice swept throughout the room. Lucius immediately straightened up, Narcissa doing the best she could from where she was sitting. "She is trying to express the relation. Both need her protection is what she believes. Congratulations on the boy by the way." A small smile was given.

"Ah, that makes sense I suppose. Thank you my lord!" Lucius said, passing off the girl and straitening his robes.

"Mmm," Tom hummed back "Time off will be given to you both."

"My lord!-" Lucius exclaimed hurriedly.

"Hush Lucius! No need to get you're self worked up. I'm simply giving you time off to adjust to the change. Having a child to attend to is an adjustment to itself and I'm sure Narcissa would appreciate the help." He quirked an eyebrow, his lips pursed as he added, "it is also a time to get to know you're son... unless you don't wish for that?"

"N-no! Of course my lord! Thank you!" He forced out frantically and with that Tom left with Maizelle in his arms.

"Don't laugh, 'Cissa!" Lucius exclaimed, whipping around to the snickering woman but even he couldn't help the small smile.

"I'm sorry!" she said, attempting to hold her laughter but failing to do so. "you just became so worried!" Lucius had to admit that his reaction was funny.

"Yes- yes! That will be a funny story for later, I suppose!" he replied joining in on the giggles.
