Pulling up to the Hokage's building, a building where strategic and logistical matters dedicated to the shinobi force and the village were handled. Team 10 found their way inside and up the marble stairs to second of three floors where the mission room was held.
Upon entering, other teams like theirs, and teams of chunin and jonin could be seen getting missions from chunin working at the very long and wide desk that had multiple stations across the long table.
Asuma walked up to the table grabbed a scroll and returned, with a crooked smile in his face.
"Alright my beautiful team, we have our mission normally we'd hear an explanation by the chunin handing out the scrolls, but trust me it's okay for this mission."
Ino's eye's opened wide excited at what the mission might be, while Choji and Y/n remained still with nervous looks on their face's.
"What a drag..... what's the mission?"
Asuma turned towards his ever lazy student as his eyebrows quirked in mischief, "ohhhh..... Nothing to bad. You know what let's head to a rooftop and I'll explain it to you guys."

[1st pov] - Shikamaru
What a drag..... As lazy as I am, I'm still excited about our first mission, but it's been an hour of nothing. We've just been sitting on a rooftop and as much as I'd rather be sleeping right now Asuma sensei is forcing us to stay awake, while Ino and Y/n scan the village for some runaway cat. Y/n using an army of clones, while Ino has been using her sensor abilities to thoroughly scan the village in segments.
Unfortunately we have to move sections so they can keep scouting efficiently. Apparently this is good training for the two, since they have the best scouting and sensory abilities, hell even Ino is talking to one of y/n's clones about how to use sensory jutsu, just because he thinks he might have a knack for it.
Even so I highly doubt they'd be able to identify a cat that way, but Asuma sensei said that the cats more like a demon or some kind of spawn from hell, so they're looking for a chakra signature that's-
"Hey, Goldie-kun send a clone over by training grounds the end closer to the hot springs. There's a weird chakra signature, can you feel it?"
Y/n's face squeezed in focus as another clone was created and dispelled to relay the information. Finally...... our nice but boring boredom might finally be coming to an end, "No not really, it just feel a lot of chakra coming from the direction of the springs themselves".
"It's okay, you'll get it eventually."
After I watched a couple more clouds Ino spoke again, "Yeah I think it's worth checking out near the hot springs. There's some weird chakra signature off by itself in the woods"
Another clone of Y/n was created and it sprinted off in that direction. And after more time waiting, suddenly Y/n jumped in pain, and grabbed his head.
"So....., agh.. so all my clones decided to dispel after getting the information, I found the cat, it's by the hot springs."
