Her leader was being neglectful and unfaithful to his cult. Leaving his followers and disciples lost.
Kuni watches as once again, instead of taking the time to talk to others, he goes to his room immediately, where the harlot resides. The demon sighs and goes to address the more stressed followers and their concerns. Even telling those that wanted paradise to meet her in a stray room to talk more about it.
How can after a century since the harlot passed, she finds a way to come back into her leader's life? This time causing a distraction and disharmony in the way they run things.
Her leader hasn't even taken any of his followers to paradise since she got here. Having no time when he spends it all with the witch.
Don't get her started on the affair her leader had started with his little pet. Kuni digs her claws into her skull and would leave the temple to get away from the noise.
It was driving her mad that her god has become enchanted by this human.
Her claws flex once before she jumps once again to the wall, joined by another demon who also couldn't stand the noise. They take a walk in the snow. The night was young and so it was best for them to not come back till morning.
The harlot needs to be dealt with. Be it by her leader falling into his hunger or herself.

"Stop!" Kotoha laughs out, Douma tickling her sides before pulling her back into his arms and falling back into their futon. He peppers her with kisses from shoulder to neck.
Life is good, his songbird keeping him interested and breaking the same old routine he has had for centuries each winter. Hunt and kill.
Now he had his love and her thoughts. Maybe if her past self had listened or had never discovered the truth, this is what they could have had.
His eyes go blank for a moment, his movements stopping in the mid-nuzzle of her hair.
Kotoha would feel him stopping and look to him. There it was again, something she has been seeing every once in a while for the...Kami was it almost a month since she's been here?
Forgetting the timeline, she has seen Douma gain this look, like no thoughts and they say the eyes are the doorways to the soul.
She couldn't read him at all during those times. Almost like instead of an empty head, he is lost. Luckily it takes little to bring him back.
She turns and takes hold of his head. Colorful eyes still blank till she kisses his nose. He blinks once, the light coming back before he blinks a few more times.
His grin shows he is fully back, in more ways than one.
That strange noise he makes that sounds like a purr comes again when she straddles him.
—
"Douma-" He pecks her cheek before hugging her once more.
"I said I'm sorry but what was I to do with how well you were enjoying yourself?" Douma hides his smirk into her shoulder as they lay on their fronts, Douma throwing an arm around her and pulling her more under him.
At this rate, a 'happy' accident may come and Douma will make sure Kotoha doesn't worry her heart for a little one like she did last time.
She has talked many times about her concerns and Douma listens, nodding every once and a while, giving his own advice. Though he tries to be genuine with her. It was a well-practiced habit that Douma had to break with her and correct himself.
She had at one point asked him to join her. Join her back in Tokyo.
That had him going blank in the eyes and in mind.
Leave his home...Was it really home? Where was home? Was it where he had a set routine? Did he really care about giving paradise?
No, he thinks as they sleep after a pleasurable night.
This is just where he has the most control. He doesn't know what will happen outside because humans are so terrible in nature.
Nowadays, demons would do well to get rid of humans so there was less discord and hurt in the world. To make a perfect paradise would be to get rid of flaws and only let the beauty remain.
But simply blending in with humans, living as a wolf in sleep's clothing for his songbird? Perhaps he could do that if that were the path. Her ankle was better with only a few restrictions of movement. She would need an escort down the mountain and to town.
She was too compassionate to her fans. The mental toll almost took over for a time, cabin fever getting to her.
Douma doesn't want to think much about it for now, not with how well their relationship is developing.
Though she has pointed out his continued disregard for his duties.
"I'm only a guest Douma and I can't have you hosting for me when there are things for you to do." It had happened near the beginning but no, he doesn't care.
Her health was what mattered and he doesn't want her hurt any more than she needs to. He of all beings living should know better how easily humans can break.
Physically at least, he will admit he wouldn't even know where to start if she goes through something soul-crushing that destroys her mentally and emotionally.
His eyes glow briefly and his claws flex out.
He wouldn't let his secrets out like last time.
That's how his songbird left her cage the first time.
Thoughts?
How soon till a 'happy' accident happens?
