"I fear my joke may have had some truth to it," Luna commented as her eyes landed on the destination Damian had in mind. "It just may be from my own doing."

In front of the two stood a very tall and thick tree sporting luscious green leaves. The bark was thick and a deep shade of chestnut, life screaming from within. It wasn't the only thing on it as a small, older treehouse rested just a few feet up the trunk. Really, it was just a wooden plank combined with smaller planks of wood all held together by nails and a dream.

Luna was terrified.

"L," he warned, shaking his head at her. "It's safe, I promise."

She felt a lump of anxiety form in her throat but she quickly tried to suppress it, clearing her throat. There was no reason not to trust his judgment, he hasn't given her any reason not to. Yet, that was almost all the reason not to trust him at the same time. At least thats what small parts of her brain were screaming out to her. And, it's heights dammit!

"I'm just glad I'm with someone that catches other people for a living," Damian snorted at her words, laughing at her ridiculous yet slightly accurate description of his job.

"Yeah whatever," he chuckled as he took the blanket from her and began setting their stuff down. "Climb."

Luna obliged, gripping the wood which creaked, sending fearful shivers down her spine.

"I'm right behind you," Damian affirmed her, giving her enough confidence to begin the ascent.

With a deep breath, she tried her best to just focus on climbing and ignoring everything else. Faith on her side, she made it up without a problem. Once she was comfortable standing on the old wood, she turned to face Damian who was staring up the ladder in concern.

"Good, L?" He asked, eyes focusing on her face for any signs of discomfort.

"I'm okay," she told him honestly, her voice wavering a bit as the anxiety started to alleviate itself from her body.

"Do you feel comfortable with me passing you things from down here?" He asked as he began to gather some of their bags in his hands. "It's okay if you don't want to."

When he turned to face her again, she wore a sheepish expression as she stared down at him, light pink dawning her cheeks. He chuckled, knowing the answer. Without another word, he began climbing up with one hand. When he was tall enough to just reach the platform, he pushed some bags on which Luna would take before climbing back down. He did this once more before everything was up, including himself.

Luna gulped as she pressed herself into a corner of the treehouse which happened to be the one connected to the tree. Her fingers dug into the vines, gripping tightly to secure herself until her knuckles were turning a hard white. The reality of the weight of everything combined with the creaking of the wood was nauseating for her and she could feel some dizziness threatening to strike.

Damian hadn't noticed her panicked state until he turned around after setting the blanket down flat on the wood.

"Hey," he slowly and softly stepped towards her, placing his hands on top of hers that were still holding the vines too tight. "Relax, it's okay. I wouldn't expose you to anything I didn't trust myself, okay?"

Luna nodded, slowly loosening her grip as she registered his words.

"I forgot how afraid of heights I can get on certain things," she admitted to him in almost a whisper-like tone. "I'm sorry."

"That's okay," he said softly, holding her hands in his now as he backed up slowly towards the blanket. "Don't apologize for your fears."

"Thanks, D," she now smiled at him, allowing him to pull her towards the blankets.
