The Shinazugawa siblings were on their way to their next mission.
" Hurry!Hurry!, A demon on the run!!," The kasugai crow yelled out.
' That loud bird sure doesn't shut up!,' Genya thought, he then noticed Sumi pause her tracks.
" Sumi?, something wrong?," Genya asked. The demon girl pointed to the gruesome scene, a family killed in their home.
' we were too late?!,' He thought.
Sumi then sense another group of citizens nearby and the demon. Sprinting towards the feral demon knocking it down.
" Sumi!," Genya ran to his sister in desperation.
The demon then duplicated itself to separate the two siblings.
" How strange a demon and a human working together?," It asked.
Sumi glance to the citizen and somehow remembered her deceased family whom she failed to protect.
" Sumi!, Can I count on you!?, To protect them!," Genya called out his sister. Sumi nodded and reassured her big brother.
' Right, Sumi is not a human anymore, she's a demon,' Genya thought, ' she can protect herself now,'
Sumi's claws sharpen as she cut through the flesh of the demon, nearing to cutting it's head.
" You little brat!." Slicing an arm in the process.
Sumi hiss in pain as she slowly regenerated her arm, her eyes snap as she saw the demon going for the humans.
Growling angrily kicking it's head easily.
The rest of the body started burning away.
Hearing gunshots from the other side of the village finding her older brother covered in blood.
Sumi whimpered in fear and ran to his arm, he wasn't that injured but His head was bleeding and he has several cuts.
Nevertheless, Genya patted Sumi's head affectionately. " You did well, Sumi," He said.
Then a group of kakushi came to the village to search for injured slayers, then A tall muscular man came to the scene.
Genya held his sister to his chest, sensing something of the man.
" You, young man, why do you have a demon with you?," He asked.
" She's my little sister, but she never ate a human since she was turned!, please believe me!," Genya pleaded fearing for Sumi's life.
Gyomei glance at the citizens that were nearly attacked by the demon that terrorized the village told them that the demon girl saved them and was even very gentle with them.
" She protects humans, I became a swordsman for two reason, to turn back my sister and to apologize to my older brother!," Genya said.
" Bring your sister and follow me," Gyomei said sternly, the siblings nodded and followed the man.

" I see, you claim your sister hasn't eaten human flesh since her transformation which was nine years ago, correct?," The stone pillar glance at the two siblings.
" I don't really have the exact explaination but Sumi have been protecting humans alongside me since I became a slayer," Genya said, patting his sister's head.
' How strange, a demon that doesn't lust for human flesh, she must be a rare one,'
' But still one thing is still uncertain,' Gyomei thought of the wrost scenario to come.
" Has she had any contact with marechi blood?," Gyomei asked.
" Marechi?,"
" A special type of blood that makes a demon feral, they would do anything to get it and as far I am seeing, she seem to be no harm to a marechi holder," Gyomei said. He pointed to the young boy.
" You young man, you will be my apprentice and you will protect your sister when the time comes," The pillar said.
