"oh that is a good one." Jake laughs talking on the phone, "okay sounds good, talk soon."
Hartley walks in, "were you just talking to who i think you were talking to?"
"yep!" Jake looks around to see if his family is around, "Starling."
what he didn't realise is Amy, Mahlia and Rory at the top of the stairs ease dropping
"we've been talking everyday since we went to her commercial shoot and tonight she wants to meet in person." Jake tells Hartley excitedly, "this is the first chance Starling and I have had the chance to hang out alone and i wanna make it special, so we're going to a junk yard!"
"Starling? what is he talking about?" Mahlia whispers to Amy and Rory
"its special because that's where we had our first battle. but anyways i need you to cover for me with my parents and more importantly Amy." Jake asks
"oh , no, i already feel guilty about keeping a secret from her, she's my best friend and she wouldn't keep secrets from me." Hartley worries
"yes she would." Jake reminds
"yeah, you're probably right. but i don't like doing it to her."
"neither do i, i'm not gonna keep this from her forever just intill i can find a way to make her see the Starling that i see. come on you can stay for dinner." Jake promises and they walk off the kitchen and Amy, Mahlia and Rory come out of hiding
"i don't know what's going on. but i'm gonna find out." Amy says upset
"Hartley can't keep a secret just make her feel bad so she spills." Rory suggest
"this is all so random, what could Jake want to do with Starling?" Mahlia asks, "just be super nice and that would make Hartley feel bad for keeping a secret."

"hey guys!" Mahlia walks in and sits down next to Jake and Hartley for dinner
"do you guys always have pancakes for dinner?" asks Hartley
"well, we can't break the law anymore, at least let us break the rules of breakfast." Eva puts syrup on her pancake
"hey where's Colby?" Mahlia asks of course
"uhh i don't know ever since he shapeshifted into a fly i've had the toughest time keeping tabs on him." Eva looks around
"i'm down here trying to avoid your fork." Colby says stuck in his mothers maple syrup
"i'll just eat around you."
'hi Colby." Mahlia smiles when she sees Colby in the syrup
"hey Mahl." Colby says back
"hey Amy everything okay?" asks Hartley
"yeah why wouldn't it be? do you know something i don't? because if you did you can tell me. doesn't matter what it is because we're bestfriends right?" Amy plays oblivious to make Hartley feel bad
"of course." Hartley stuff the pancake into her mouth to stop her from spilling the 'secret'
"so what's everyone doing tonight?' asks Amy
"me and Colby are watching the avenger movies we're up to Ant-man." Mahlia tells
"well, i'm off to the mall to hang out at the food court and check out the surf board store." Jake lies
"i did it!" Vic comes running in, "i've been up for three days straight but i finally found a way to stop Colby from being trapped in a random shapeshifting cycle. we're gonna get our son back!"
