C H A P T E R 1 3

MAHLIAS POV

i've completely messed everything up.

I knew this was going to happen and i did it anyways. i've also lost my freindship with Amy and Jake. i ruined it for Rory aswell since they no longer trust her either luckily Rory isn't mad at me.

i'm planning on trying to talk to Colby at school, hopefully he's there since he never even comes.

I was getting ready for school doing my make up and i hear a text message from Colby

my heart started pounding with relief intill i here another buzz

i put my phone down to think of what just happened

he still likes me?

is Eva and Vic banning him from me?

all thoughts and emotions pass through my head

i grab my bag, knock on Rorys door to see if she's ready and walk off to school trying to forget about it

when i get into school of course the first thing i notice is Amy with Hartley. i try to give Amy a smile but she knocks me on purpose. "sorry" i hear Hartley say giving me a smile

i smile back at Hartley.

then i see Jake.

"jake!" i yell out, i notice he looks worried

"no Mahlia i can't." Jake try's to walk away

"please 5minutes no one will see us." i beg

i pull him to the side and start begging him to get his parents to forgive me and how Rory and I had no intent of setting them up

"we believe you, it's just risky to let you know more than you do." Jake replied

"will Eva and Vic even let me talk to them? you guys know i do genuinely really like Colby aswell. i wouldn't do that to him."

"just leave it, we can't be friends and you cannot be with Colby either. we are from 2 different worlds, imagine if your parents or the superheroes found out you knew about us your life would be ruined." Jake sighs

"well that's the risk i'm taking. please just ask Eva and Vic to talk to me."

"i'll try." Jake walks off

i head to my class. my science class. the class with Colby.

Colby's my designated Partner that we can't change so i have no idea what's going to happen here. i sit in my spot and Colby comes in and avoids eye contact and doesn't say anything but sits in his spot next to me.

we got our project for today, it was pretty simple, we were making lava lamps and were expected to work together.

"Colby?" i try to talk but he ignores and passes me some oil for our lamps and gets to work.

"don't ignore me."

he ignores me again.

"Colby!" i try one last time

"stop it. i can't talk to you, it's easier to let you go if your not trying to speak to me every 20 seconds. move on." he finally says quieting me

"we can still be school friends just don't tell your parents." i suggest

"i've begged and begged for my parents to let us be friends, nothing is changing their minds Mahlia and i'm not going behind their backs."

we spent the rest off class in silence.

i had no one but Rory. Hartley still spoke to me but she was with Amy most of the time.

i decided to go talk to the Eva and Vic at their house after school

when i got their Colby, Amy and Jake weren't home from school yet so this was a good opportunity to talk to their parents

Eva opened the door, "honey no we can't talk to you, we need you to leave."

"no please beleive me." i begged

"we just can't. we can't have you around Colby especially, it won't work. neither of you are willing to give up being superhero's or villains so it can't work." Eva told me firmly

"why can't we just be friends?"

Vic joined the conversation, "we see you two, you aren't only going to be friends."

"what if we are only friends and if we become anything more than you can kick me out forever." Mahlia asks

the couple arrange looks

i might actually be making sense

"we'll think about it Mahlia." they smile at me

i go home and nap waking up from another text from Jake this time

i literally clap from how excited i am.

i couldn't believe it.
