Chapter 7

Choi han stayed with Cale to watch over him. While Eruhaben had gone to call the children.

Before letting them into the room, he explained the situation of Cale.

"Raon it would be good if you took a human form..." The ancient dragon suggested to him, he had worked on it together but Raon didn't like this form, he preferred to be a dragon. Of course Eruhaben understood the reason, he knew everything about his past with Venion.

" All right !" He will do it but only to help his guardian.

The little dragon transformed into a little child with black hair and blue eyes. The kittens did the same, switching to their human form.

The ancient dragon congratulated them before entering the room.

Cale's eyes immediately went to the children who had just arrived. Raon approached him but didn't jump on him as usual, he was more careful.

"Hello human, how are you?" Although cautious, he still seemed happy.

He saw Cale frown as he looked at him, he had noticed that the child could speak his language.

"What are you doing here ?"

"It's my house, and yours too. Why wouldn't I be here?" Raon asked, he didn't understand his human's question.

"These people are dangerous-"

" What ?! But this is not true. They are nice."

Rok Soo didn't answer him, he didn't want to spoil a child's thoughts. These people probably lied to him to make him obey, he had a sad look when looking at the child.

" So ?" Eruhaben asked Raon waiting for the result.

"I don't think he believes me. He thinks you're bad." Raon was sad at his human's thoughts. He was a family, why does he think that? If it is still the fault of these gods, he will certainly make them pay. But he didn't let his anger show, he didn't want to scare his human.

Despite Raon's thoughts, Eruhaben saw the positive side of it, at least Cale didn't attack the kids.

"Raon, Cale hasn't eaten yet, ask him if he wants anything."

Raon relayed the dragon's words to his human.

"No thanks" He quickly replied, he wasn't going to accept anything from them. It was too dangerous.

"He must think it might be poisoned." They could hear Choi Han's words.

Eruhaben frowned, for him Cale's behavior was strange. He knew it was due to the curse but still. He seemed to have some memories but it didn't match any behavior he had ever seen or heard from Cale. The dragon had heard some rumors about Cale's past as trash but the Cale here seemed to have a much darker past. He didn't tell the others, keeping his suspicions to himself, well for now.

"What if we ate with him? " The little dragon suggested.

"That's a good idea, I'm going to ask my son to prepare a meal for everyone." Ron came out of the room, Cale watched him leave.

He continued to speak with the children hoping that they were safe here and to get information about where they were.

He stopped doing it when he saw the old man coming back with lots of food. He put everything on the bedroom table.

Cale was pulled to the table by the kids, even though he didn't want to go. He was able to see the children eating peacefully. Dishes were placed in front of him where everyone could help themselves. There was little chance that a meal like that would be poisonous unless the cook in question wanted to kill everyone. As the children were doing well, Cale decided to try too but with a small amount.

As soon as he put the first mouthful in his mouth. He thought the taste was exceptional, he hadn't eaten anything so great in Korea for a very long time.

They could see that he suddenly had a melancholy expression. Raon decided to ask with childlike innocence. "What's the matter, the food isn't good?"

"Of course, it's the best food I've ever eaten...the adult world is sometimes complicated. Enjoy your childhood..." He doesn't really know why he told them that, it wasn't his style to talk like that but the presence of these children allowed him to relax slightly.

He didn't see Choi Han turn a dark expression next to him, although the others did but not ask for anything even if the dragon's suspicions only strengthened.

"Is it possible to get out of here? "

"Do you want to take a walk outside?!" Raon happily asked Cale.

He nodded, the little dragon asked the adults.

Rok soo tried if these people say they are from the same family then they will let him do it if he is not a prisoner.

The adults in the room were a little hesitant, they were afraid that Cale would try something again to escape and gets hurt.

"What should we do?" The dragon asked the swordsman.

"He may very well try to escape or test if we are telling the truth."

Eruhaben seemed skeptical at these words. Cale didn't seem like that kind of person.

"The only thing I can tell you is that he's in survival mode here. He is unpredictable, and will do anything to find a way to escape."
