CHAPTER 2

"Zyair, wake up. We're already here."

We're already in my grandma's house. I smiled at Kuya Trais.

My cousin gave my things to the helper, napailing nalang ako sa kaniya. Para lang sa isang bag e.

We went straight to the living room where we saw my grandmother sitting like a queen in the couch, she smiled sweetly when she saw us . Kuya Trais wave his hand nonstop like a kid. Our grandmother laughed because of it.

I hurriedly went to her and hug her.

"I miss you, Lola." I said.

"I miss you too, dear. How are you? " she sweetly asked while caressing my hair.

I can't help but to smile sadly, " I'm just fine, Lola. "

" Be fine always, apo." she stated. She took a glance at Kuya Trais.

"I've miss you too, Trais. Aren't you going to hug me?" Ani Lola.

He smirked. "I just went here last week, granny. I already gave you  enough hugs and some of those are advance hugs for a future like this. It's Zyair's time today." he said and joking shrugged his shoulder.

Umawang ang labi ko at bahagyang natawa.

I took a glance to our grandmother when I heard her laughed, it echoed in the living room.  Kuya Trais isn't not her grandchild but she accepted his like his own.

After a almost an hour of storytelling about my life in Manila , I can see that Lola is hurting too. She's hurting because of me, I suppose.

My grandmother still caressing my hair when I'm done talking.

"Did you talked to your father, hija?" she asked.

I shook my head as an answer. " I can't face him, lola."

I can't face him knowing that I'm the one who exposed my mom's secret to him.

Aksidente ko kasing nakita ang phone ni Mama na nakabukas, she's taking a bath at that time when an unknown number texted her.

I can't sit still knowing that my mother is cheating and ruining our family because of her inappropriate acts.

"Your mother's affair is  shameless, " panimula nito. "I saw his post  on social media and it's look like your mother is now exposing their relationship with that homewrecker. What a shame." she spat angrily.

I stilled in my seat. Didn't expecting what she said. It's my first time hearing this words from her. I always hear her words of wisdom and good deeds from her.

Kuya Trais exhaled a deep breath.  "Granny,"

Grandma took a glance on him and look at me with pity in her eyes. " I'm sorry, apo. My words may be inappropriate for you to hear but it's the truth." she stated. I nodded my head. It's true naman.
