Away from the spotlight

YEAR 1- the Hogwarts express

Stay away from the spotlight' that's what the moons have been saying since generations,No one knows why, just that they do. The moons were a well-known pureblood family, people respected. Now you might say doesn't that mean they were in the spotlight? Not entirely. People only knew them by their surname,barely anyone you ask would say 'oh yes!the moons they came over for dinner last week' or 'oh yes the moons, they work with me'

No they would always say 'oh, the moons,I may have seen them about 3 years ago I'm not sure it was them though....' Or 'oh the moons I haven't seen them since that happened.

No one knows what happened, only that it completely shut down the prestigious family of the moons.The once almost royal wizarding family is a myth or a saying nowadays.

A very popular saying one might say, Just how muggles say 'that will only happen when the world is perfect' people of the wizarding world say 'that will only happen when the moons are sighted again'

What they don't realise is the Moons have always been there. You might think they might as well be unattractive considering no one notices them, but that is a very wrong assumption. No moon can be considered unattractive no matter skin tone, body shape, hair colour or eyes colour if you get a chance to see them you will be amazed by their beauty.....then again 'if'.

Unfortunately for the Moons this year was a year where people may catch glimpses of them again, for this year their daughter Esmeray was going to Hogwarts!!

Esmeray was exited and nervous at the same time. She had no interest in all the drama or gossip most students did, it may be fun and all but she didn't like talking to people . She was exited about all spells and potions she could finally learn. She always had a hidden desire about being a healer but as being a healer wasn't really a profession which could be done away from peering eyes, she couldn't tell her parents knowing they'd just not approve.

Leo Moon with his blonde hair sapphire blue eyes and Ruby moon with her brown hair and emerald green eyes were the most secretive of the moons. Their family businesses of fashion and potions was completely run by other wizards. They never had to show themselves ever. Now why wouldn't they want their daughter to be a healer? I mean it's a good profession. They didn't want that, because it would only bring attention to their family, and why would anyone want that?

Ruby Moon had already ordered everything from diagon alley straight to their house, they even had ollivander come at their Manor to make sure Esmeray could get the right wand. I mean why go to diagon alley when u can just bring diagon alley home...well kind of.

Esmeray moon was a spitting image of her mother, except her eyes....... Yes they were blue and yes they were green too. She had heterochromia, One of her eyes was green and one was blue. They looked quite unique,but they were also the girl's biggest insecurity.

Today was 1st of September, Esmeray sat on the window sill looking outside. She had a lovely view, a range of mountains which not many people knew about. She was very inspired by them, for they were a beautiful sight but were at the same time mysterious. No one knew what the mountains actually contained.

"Mistress Esmeray, your mother has called for you" her house elf Debby called out. She smiled at the house elf and took one last look at her king sized bed with a beautiful pastel pink carpet underneath, her pastel purple curtains opened to side of the window she was sitting on, on the other side a huge balcony which at night had the best view of stars and lastly the Chrystal chandelier on her ceiling.

As she made her way downstairs she saw her mother and father standing with a proud yet wary look. "We are so proud of you Esmeray" her mother gushed her father nodding in agreement.

 "I hope you remember that trust very very few and don't get involved in any type of mischief" her father said teasingly. Esmeray smiled and assured them that for her Hogwarts will just be a learning experience and nothing else.

Soon enough it was time to go, her mother and father took her hands getting ready to apparate to platform 9 3/4.

The platform was bustling with witches and wizards of all ages, there were even some muggles saying goodbye to their children and hoping this all wasn't a mistake. Esmeray made quick work of saying good bye to her parents and boarded the Hogwarts express.

She was quite early so almost all the compartments were empty, but she made her way to the very back and settled into a very......abandoned looking compartment. She knew no one would bother her in here but she locked the door and pulled down the window sheets just in case.

Esmeray knew her parents would've left the second she boarded so she didn't feel the need to wave or look outside once the train started moving.

Whoever said that the sights which one can see while on the express are extravagant wasn't exaggerating. Esmeray was mesmerised by the beauty, it made her really happy that she could enjoy this view in silence.......

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

She spoke to soon.......

Esmeray seriously wanted to just ignore it and hope that the person would go away but the knocking didn't stop. She stood up and reluctantly opened the door.

Outside was a bushy haired girl who looked like she was a first year too. "Have you seen a toad? A boy named Neville has lost one" she said in a quite snobby voice. 

Esmeray slowly shook her head, the girl sighed and then looked around her compartment and said "You know this compartment doesn't really look welcoming, I wouldn't see why you would sit here" 

Esmeray pursed her lips and slowly said "it was the only one empty" 

"Rubbish my compartments fully empty, come on you can sit with Me"

Esmeray didn't know how to get out of this situation so she just said "I don't really know you" 

"oh that's alright, I'm Hermione granger, and you are?" 

Esmeray looked away and just mumbled "sorry, I have to go to the lavatory" and pushed past the girl. The girl seemed nice and Esmeray felt a little bad leaving her like that. But Hermione gave of really gryffindory vibes and well the only things gryffindors know is to stay in the spotlight.

For the rest of the train journey She hid in the lavatory. It was pretty roomy and No one came knocking in, The trunks were to be kept on the train so she didn't worry about it as the train came to a stop.

She waited some time and then decided it was time for her to get off.

This was really happening she was finally at Hogwarts!!

She couldn't wait to find out how her Hogwarts life would be like...
