❝I close my eyes and all I see is you❞
"I said I don't want to hurt you." Lili had enough.
Thud.
"Ouch!" She flinched when her foot hit the desk.
The young man sitting opposite her stood up immediately and crouched down. "Let me treat you," he said with a stern look on his face.
"I said I'm fine!" She pushed his hands away. From all the years she had known him, she figured out something.
He wouldn't leave her side no matter what she said.
"I said leave." She repeated it just like every other day.
The man named Suo had a face crafted by Aphrodite herself. It was a captivating beauty. "You got into a fight," he calmly retorted, and anger was seeping into his ruby-like eyes.
"That doesn't concern you, damn it! They deserved even worse."
"Don't concern yourself with me. Go away!" She repeated.
Suo would have left if that's what she meant.
Her eyes were blue and endless, like the ocean. It looked like she always yearned to have someone by her side. Or was it just an illusion?
It seemed like forever when Lili reached home, covered in wounds.
She ended up getting into another fight earlier. It was no surprise since no one liked to have her around. She was the bad-mouthed kid who didn't know how to behave.
Lili walked to the corner of the street and entered an old-looking apartment with untrimmed meadows growing everywhere.
She ascended the stairs and hurried to her room, where she collapsed onto the bed and quickly drifted into sleep, unable to alleviate the pain. As the clouds vanished in the darkening sky, a knock was heard at the door.
"Lili, I'm coming in."
Before Lili could think of any answers, the door flung open, and the last person she ever wanted to encounter entered the room.
"I said don't enter, damn it," she cursed under her breath.
"I couldn't hear anything," Suo replied with a rather polite smile.
"I want—"
"Why don't you call me by my name?" Suo questioned him as he sat down, opening the bag he had brought. "We have known each other for years."
"Go away," she repeated.
"Why don't you push me then?"
Lili considered it for a second. "If you're going to stay here, then be quiet," she snapped. She closed her eyes and faced away from Suo.
"Hey, what are you—"
Suo pulled her hands towards him, causing her to fall forward. Lili groaned in pain as she fell on his chest. She could feel him lifting her chin.
"If I'm going to treat your wounds, the least you can do is call me by my name." His voice was hoarse, sending shivers down her spine.
"It's Hayato for you." He whispered into her ears.
