Lili let out a loud gasp, looking at the dishes before her. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy as she witnessed Suo effortlessly outshining her.

"What are you?" She asked, looking at him sitting on the floor with a courteous smile. He was no human. He was probably the first not to believe her excuse for going karaoke with the old lady.

"Are you upset you didn't go karaoke with your landlady?"

Lili gritted her teeth; no matter what she said or did, he could see through it. She couldn't understand why he wouldn't believe it.

She could see a hollow golden crown on top of Suo's head as she looked at the meal he had made. "I hate being indebted to you." She scrunched her nose, unable to resist the delicious meal before her.

"You are a clumsy lady after all," he gestured to the porridge he made.

"Do you go on a diet every day?" She grunted at the man who was beaming at her. She could practically see sparkles surrounding him.

"Ah, not every day." He shook his hand, refusing to eat.

"You like porridge, don't you?" He asked, earning a keen look from her. She rarely spoke about herself and was surprised he noticed the trivial details.

"Are you a stalker?" She leaned closer to him. For some reason, he seemed to know everything about her, like when she was supposed to dress up as Winnie the Pooh for a Halloween costume and wore one that unmistakably looked like a human excreta, mishearing her teacher.

"It's not like that," he chuckled, looking at her doubtful expression.

Suo watched as Lili dug into her food, hastily slipping out a word of gratitude. He excused himself to rejuvenate and walked to her balcony.

"Good stuff," Lily munched on the porridge he made. Though it had been simple, the taste was exquisite and seemed to melt in her mouth when she took a bite.

The last time she attempted to cook porridge, she recalled the rice turning into mush and having a terrible experience trying to eat it. "Although I kept track of the time," Lili complained.

She accidentally fell asleep while staring at the clock and woke up an hour later after dozens of snoozing alarms beeping on her phone. Lili, being Lili, would never accept her mistake and blame the rice for getting mushy.

"I don't think it was the rice's fault," Suo said, eavesdropping on her complaint, knowing what was on her mind. Though Lily strongly disagreed with his opinion, she kept quiet and ate the porridge.

"Don't think this made us buddies or anything." She said, stuffing her mouth full.

"I thought we were good friends by now," he said with a staggered expression.

"A friend?" She repeated.

"Maybe not just a friend," he chimed, watching her eat. Lili could hear his heart hammering against his chest. It was funny how composed he looked.

"I can hear you," she pointed to him, looking scornfully disturbed.

"I don't think it can be helped." Suo merely smiled at her.
