CHAPTER FOUR : CODE

     Unlike Reb, I'm not allowed to go outside the mansion. It's in the middle of nowhere and we're surrounded by nice greenery, it's quite pretty and the nearest city is half an hour away.

Dante lets Reb go out because he's known her for years and knows she has nowhere to return to, no one that cares that she's missing - AND she's madly obsessed with him.

     Me on the other hand, he knows I hate him. Even though I don't go out of my way to show it, he knows I have a future ahead of me and friends that will go to the end of the world to find me. He knows I have a race I want to return to. Unlike Reb, my face is all over the news when I went missing.

Thankfully, the race has been put on hold, I caught a picture of myself in the news that Dante was watching. At least they used a nice picture of me to report how I've gone missing and how the race would be suspended until I'm found.

That, to Dante's dismay, has led a lot of people to start looking for me. Even people who don't know me or care about me, they just want the race to go on. I also caught that movement in the news, and a bunch of people being interviewed, all answering the same set of questions.

I sighed. Only yesterday did I tell Rebecca my story - well most parts at least, and I haven't seen her since. She usually wakes me up by 10am if I'm not up by then. It's 11am now and I force myself out of bed.
Only to find that she went into town today to do some shopping.

Great, I'm stuck with Dante and his minions today.

But not necessarily.

After a while, I was allowed on the outside of the mansion, as long as the security was with me. Sadly I couldn't have Cage around me, he was Dante's personal and main bodyguard. But two men in black suits and sunglasses would follow me everytime I went outside. More like I had to tell Dante and he would order them to come with me.

     "Aren't you two hot in those black suits in this hot weather?" But of course they didn't reply. They don't like me or they were ordered to not speak unless I was trying to run away or something. "Whatever"

I held a book I got from Dante's library tightly and decided to read by the pool. Dante offered me magazines but looked a little stunned to find out I wanted to actually read.

He does know that women aren't all about magazines right? I mean sure Reb reads a lot of magazines so that might've been why he offered.

But my mind wasn't in the book at all.

I picked out a book I already read, it's called 'The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo' and I've read it a thousand times already. I'm not reading it now though, I'm thinking about my situation and the most effective ways to get rid of Dante.

The book choice? In case they ask me what happened or what it's about , I'll be able to tell them right away and not be suspicious. Though I wonder why in the world Dante has this book in his library, maybe Reb or one of his previous girls asked for it.
