Natigil akong magsulat when Lorene abrupt open and close the door. Problema ba nitong adik na 'to. Hindi ko na sana papansinin kaso pabagsak naman siyang umupo sa mini sofa ko sa office. Gumagawa siya ng ingay na mapansin ko.

I let her and continue what I'm doing. Malapit na akong mainis kasi para siyang pusang hindi ma pirmi sa lugar niya ngayon. She's wearing her usual get up, a Lorene's code: blue pants with white long sleeves folded up to her elbows, half tuck it and her Prada eyeglasses on her head.

I looked at her.

"What?!"

Like seriously? Siya pang may ganang mag tanong sakin ng pabalang.

"Wait a minute? Nakabuntis ka ba?"

She middle finger me. "Haha. So funny." And rolled her eyes on me.

"So what brought you here? At umagang-umaga aligaga ka? Wala ka man lang dalang kape. Natuwa man lang sana ako sayo."

"Mukha ba akong utusan mo at kailangan kitang dalhan ng kape?" She pointed to herself. "Don't mind me. Ganito na ako kaganda sa umaga."

Nangasim ata ako sa sinabi niya. "Sinong may sabi?"

"Na maganda ako?"

I shake my head. "Hindi. Na hindi ka mukhang utusan ngayon. Wala ka man lang sigurong hilamos."

Hula ko hindi 'to natulog sa condo niya kagabi.

"Nah, don't look at me like that, Atty. I slept in my condo last night. And excuse me, I took a bath." She raises her voice.

"I didn't say anything, womanizer."

"You didn't but the way you look at me says."

Dumaan lang si Lorene sa akin para ipaalam na hindi siya papasok. Tarantado talaga eh 'di sana nag message na lang siya. She's one of the judges tonight in Miss Philippines. She needs a lot of time to prepare later that's why she excuses herself. Lorene was a former Miss Philippines way back so many years ago. Tumanggi na siya ng ilang beses sa invitation ng organizer thrice pero nakiusap na this time, na umattend. Napagod na rin siyang mag hindi. Kaya ayon.

"Ma'am excuse me but—" Libeth's voice interrupted me. My Secretary. I saw her catching her breath while the other woman insisted that she come inside.

My secretary looked at me. Humihingi ng pasensya.

"It's okay, Beth, I'll handle her."

Ynez on the other hand, simply looked at me and Libeth saying see? I told you.

"Hi attorney! It's been ages." She smile at me and umupo sa harap ng table ko. Kung saan umupo si Lorene kanina.

"What do you want now?" Hindi ko siya pinag kabalahan na tingnan.

"Nothing. I miss you, that's why I dropped here. Kakabalik ko lang galing Paris."

"So? I don't care. No need to inform me. It's not my business anymore about your whereabouts. Matagal na tayong tapos." It's kinda rude but serves her.

"Really? Ang hard mong i-please, Da. But it's okay, babalik din ang concern mo sa akin one day. I'm totally free and I need it just for you. Para maging one happy family tayo ni baby soon."

Umangat ang ulo ko dahil sa huling sinabi niya. May sayad na nga 'tong kaharap ko ngayon.

I made a sarcastic smile. "Have you consulted the doctor? You're out of your mind."
