The unexpected meet

Aahana's pov :-

One phone call and it turned my whole evening upside down. I was informed that Aarohi met with an accident and is hospitalised. I urged Reyaansh to take me to the hospital and he obliged. The whole ride he tried to calm my racing heart by drawing soothing circles on my wrist with his thumb and surprisingly it calmed me down to a certain extent.

Within half an hour we were inside the hospital and Reyaansh was talking to the doctor. Her mom and dad were not yet informed about her accident, it was only me, Reyaansh and her cousin sister, Ruhi.

"How did this happen Ruhi?" I asked.

"Dii was dropping me home on her scooty but it collided with a car...It's all my fault...I should not have asked her to drop me." She started crying.

"Ruhi, hey look at me..don't cry okay? It's not your fault baccha. She'll be okay don't worry." I hugged her tightly trying to console her.

"Aahana she'll be fine don't worry. The doctor said she will regain consciousness in few hours and most probably she'll be dismissed the day after tomorrow. Thank God she didn't suffer major injuries." Reyaansh informed. Relief washed over me and I breathed out a grateful sigh.

With a heavy heart we informed aunty and uncle about the accident. It was disheartening to see them breaking down but we had to inform them. It was already 10pm when bhai called...Ohh shit I forgot to inform him about Aarohi.

"Hello bhai.." My voice shaky.

"Aahana beta where are you? Are you okay? What happened to your voice?" Bhai panicked hearing me sniffling.

"B..bhai Aarohi met with an accident. I'm in the hospital." I tried my best to conceal my distress.

"What ? How? Wait right there I'm coming."

"Bhai no stay at home she'll be okay. I'll come back after sometime." It was already late enough and anyways Aarohi's parents are here.

"But how will you come back?" Bhai seemed tense.

"Bhai don't worry. Reyaansh will drop me." I assured him and even though he doesn't like him yet he seemed to be a bit relaxed.

"Okay take care. I'll inform mom and dad." With that I disconnected the call and the doctor came to tell us that she had regained consciousness and we rushed inside only to find Ayaansh already inside the room sitting beside Aarohi holding her hand with tears in his eyes.

"Ayaansh when did you come?" Reyaansh asked a bit surprised.

"He was the one who carried Aarohi to the hospital." Ruhi said .

One thing I always knew about this guy that he is head over heels in love with his girl. For Aarohi he can walk through fire and storms without uttering a single word of complaint or protest. His devotion towards her is unmatched.

We talked to Aarohi for a few minutes and then the doctor told us to leave as she needs rest. Ayaansh stayed with her meanwhile Ruhi went back with Aarohi's parents.

Reyaansh was driving me home when my phone pinged. I lifted up my phone and was flabbergasted by the seeing the text.
