Nora's eyes widened as her cheeks became red hot.
"I- uh sorry, what?"
"Oh gods, I messed it up!" Kaitlyn covered her face with her hands, embarrassed.
"No! No! I just - it's a lot to take in..."
"It's fine. I'll go..." she began to stand up.
Suddenly, a soft but firm hand tugged on her wrist, pulling her back down onto the sand.
Nora cupped Kaitlyn's face with her hands, smiling softly.
"I love you too..."
Before either of them knew it, their lips touched. It may have only been for a second, yet the feeling lasted an eternity...
