Chapter One: The Tension

"Why must I be stuck to you in this hellhole" Reggie said turning his head to Jack as gunfire eurped from all angles. Jack turn his head to face Reggie and respond, "I didn't pick you to be stuck on purpose. I rather be stuck next to a damn bomb." Reggie and Jack quickly hid between two brick walls as more gunfire was being aim at them, the other hitmen were trying to find them. "Next time, Don't act cocky and let the plan backfire on us you bloody idiot" Reggie spat out, Reggie pull out his pistol and place some fresh new ammo and as soon as he heard the gun was loaded a big,strong, muscle building body guard turn the corner before Jack was quick to take a shot at his head. "How about a thank you for saving my life" He answered bitterly. "Whatever" Reggie spat before he spotted Treston, the durg king pin. Jack, as much as He hated Reggie He turn to him again and said, "Go I got the rest of them here, I'll join you soon" Reggie look at Jack, nodded and quickly ran after him. Jack's pistol ran out of bullets so he took the muscle man AK-47 gun and his ammo and quickly reloaded it before he step out of the brick and into the line of fire while shooting 3 hitmen at the same time, He got to the last guy and he quickly relaoded again before he place the gun over his shoulder and took off after Reggie.

Reggie's P.O.V

"Stop!" Reggie shouted while running up the stairs. Treston pull out a pistol and try to shoot at Reggie to throw him off balance and keep him further behind. "Damnit" he mutter under his breath. Reggie grab an automatic rifle and he try to take aim at Trestin, The shot got Treston on his shoulder. Reggie knew he got hit because Treston yelled in pain. Treston reach the rooftop and Reggie quickly follow suit. Treston stand next to a somewhat high ledge of the 16 story building. "Come on Treston, it's over just come with us and it'll be over. You'll just be a couple of years and it'll be done" Reggie said. Treston looks at Reggie and slowly began to walk backwards to the ledge "No, no lo entenderías. (You wouldn't understand)" he began go say in Spanish. "Él me prometió (He promise me)" Reggie looks confused but understood and responded with "A qué te refieres con él? (What do you mean by hkm)" Treston looks at Reggie again and responded in a Latin-American Accent "The Devil promise me a good life. My soul belongs to him and him alone"  BAM! A gunshot was fired and instantly Treston falls to his knees before he stare up at Reggie again "Viva el Diablo (Long Live The Devil)" Treston got up from his knees and quickly jump off the ledge ending his life. "What the fuck?" Reggie said and he look around and notice Jack waving at him with a sniper rifle while laughing Reggie gave a small laugh as well and wave back before his mind wonder back to what Treston said "Viva El Diablo"

Jack P.O.V

Jack took the stairwell and heard Reggie yelling after Treston. "Crap" he thought "there's no way I'll catch up this way" He quickly ran downstairs to the first floor and headed to the other building across the street unknown to him that it was also full of Treston's  protection and hit men. With his own gun he started shooting one after another. He kept running all up the stairs, He was met with one of the hit men he was young and looks to be college bound, "Viba El Diablo" he said before he aim the gun towards Jack. Jack was struck on his shoulder but remain strong. He took aim at the kid's chest and fire. He was confused by the phase and wonder what he meant. He reach the roof within an hour, He saw a medium build man with a simple rifle whose aim was directing at Reggie. He look across the street and saw Reggie & Treston. Jack snuck up to the mn from the behind and place him in a chokehold, he held him tight and quickly broke his neck. He took the sniper gun and aim it towards Treston began to walk backwards towards the ledge. Jack look at the gun he only has one bullet, he waiting for the right moment. BAM! It struck Treston. Jack was shock when he saw Treston got up and fall off the ledge killing himself instaly. Reggie look around before spotting Jack across waving while laughing. He saw Reggie giving a small laugh himself and waving back.

Both Men walk downstairs and met each other before backup and EMT's arrive. Reggie notice Jack got hit and said, "You alright?" Jack look at his shoulder and back at him "I'll be fine. I'll go and get this taken care of. I'll hitch a ride back at the office with one of the other officers"  Jack walked to one of the ambulance to get fox and patch up. Reggie decided to look at Treston's body before Heather appear "That could have gone better but god work"  Heather pat Reggie in the back before he look at her and said, "Wait a minute, Do you know what this phase even mean? Viva El Diablo?" Heather look at him in shock and said, "Meet me and the others back at the Secert headquarters in Midtown Manhattan" she said. Reggie looks surprise and shock but nodded. "Oh bring jack along with you and try not to kill him" she reply. Reggie turn back around to the scene and sigh before muttering  "No promises"  Reggie drove to Mount Sinai in Queens to see how Jack was doing, he spotted him being look after but he was quickly discharge once the nurses and doctor patch him up. "Nothing Major" Jack responded. "Thought I said I'll meet you at the office" Reggie shock his head "It's best I come get you. Heather wants us to down at the other headquarters but first we need to see our boss and get our asses chew out but praise" Reggie grin. Jack shook his head "You clown come on let's go" 

Once in the car, Jack turns to Reggie and asked. "It's going to sound weird but have you ever heard the phase Viva El Diablo?" Reggie was shock and said, "where did you hear that from!" asked Reggie. Jack look at him again and responded  with some safeness in his voice "A kid, he looks young almost college bound told me. Viva El Diablo, before taking an aim at me. I had to kill him"  Reggie can tell that he never like killing kdis Espically that young, "Hey it's not your fault. He was gonna kill you but yes I have. Treston told me other things too, He promise Me" Reggie stop at a red light before making a turn at the popular 109  police station in Manhattan. "No idea what he means" Jack sigh and said, "What should we tell the captiam?" Reggie took a deep breath and park his car and said, "Iusy Follow my Lead" Jack nodded and they both step out of the car and walk inside the building and to the captain's main office.

Meanwhile:

Treston's spirit appear standing next to his body. A Black Hooded figure appear, "You fail your mission"  Treston turn around and before he could speak, His soul was drag into the underground where the king of Demons reside. "We met again Treston" A voice said, "I wonder where I'll be seeing you again" Treston began to say "Señor, I'm so—-" The Man turn around and face Treston. "Whatever your excuse is. I don't wanna hear it" Soon a demon appear and said, "Mr. Maxwell. We have a bigger problem" The Man look at his servant with both a worried and curious expression. He snap his finger and let Treston go into a prison cell.
