Chapter Two: Working Double

"Explain to me" Captain Santos began, "Why you two nearly destory the plan we had going?" he asked. Jack was going to replied but he was quickly shut down by one of their co-workers Jonathan. Reggie, Santos, & Jack we're both curious as to what exactly was going on, "You may wanna watch this. It's on the news in every TV channel"  The three men step out of the office sn do ngo the break room where the giant tv was. Everyone was there watching the news.

Reggie sat down next to Maya and asked, "What's going on?" Maya nearly jump out of her seat, "God you scared me. According to the news report, they are praising you and Jack. But now they are saying there's a new group of so called gang whose saying is now Vica El Diablo. Reggie was shock and was Jack when he caught wind of it. Maya look at both of them and asked, "You two look like you seen a ghost what's going on!" Jack look at Maya and said, "Treston, He manage that and so did the kid I ran into. I can't make any sense of this. Whatever is going on, seems to be bigger than we imagine" Reggie nodded his head in agreement. "Not to mention, whatever is going in we going to need more information, back up and cases to get to the bottom of it" Reggie added, "Not to mention"  Reggie $ Jack look at each other and realize that they needed to go to their other headquarters to meet Heather & the rest of the elite. The captain had enough of the small talk and said, "alright show over let's all go back to work" He looks at Reggie & Jack and said, "zyiu two, count your lucky days that wasn't your badge you lost" before he walk away and headed to his office again. "At least your jobs are still safe" said a voice behind them. "God you clearly scared us Jay" Maya said. Jay gave everyone a fist bump and asked, "Jack you need to stop making rookie mistakes" Jay said. "What's the fun in that"? Jack asked with a snug look on his face. Maya & Jay look at each other and waited for the coast to be clear. Jay goes to make himself & Reggie some coffee before Maya says, "We receive word from Heather" Reggie look at her and sat down across from her, "On?" He asked curious "Let's Finish up our shift here and we'll roll over to our other headquarters. Jay gave Reggie his cup and he got his own before Jack joined the table with a bottle of water in hand. "It might be due to the Sloan everyone has been referring to" Jay reply while taking a sip of his coffee. Reggie & Jack look both at Jay and Maya at the same time. "We can't discuss this anymore so let's go" Reggie finish his small cup of coffee and everyone left expect for Jay who stay behind to clean the cups.

After a couple of hours of nothing on high alert, Jack & Reggie receive a text coming from Heather and two more follow on their group chat from Maya & Jay which read as follow;

Heather: Get here Quickly, There's something all of you need to see. You wouldn't like it.
Jay: Maya is driving us. Reggie & Jack are also on their way we'll be there soon.

Reggie & Jack were both concern and curious. They reach a very remote building in Queens. The security guard ask for all of their badges.Reggie & Jack, however didn't show them the city badges but a different one that read: HH Decretive Reggie & HH Dectetive Jack. After examining the badges the guard point to another guard to signal to let them through. Reggie drove on and park his car among 7 other cars. "Looks like the others made it here as well" Reggie & Jack quickly change their NYPD vest for the HH Vest, which read Haunted Homcicde and walk inside. They walk into the building which from the outside looks like a normal apartment building but the inside were full of monitors, computers, video cameras, and more. Jack thought it was slightly extremely too much for nearly 8 people in total when he spot a bike at the corner of one of the rooms. The Secuirty Guards were put in place to lure any curious prying eyes away.

Sitting at a medium size table were Maya, Jay and in the middle Heather, Trey, Leah, & The Most Shocking turn of events Santos. Yes... As in NYPD Captain Santos. Reggie & Jack sat among them. "Think My Captain Act held up?" Asked Santos. "Oh Yeah totally" Reggie said while rolling his eyes. "What's this big thing you wanna talk to us Heather?" asked Trey. Heather was pulling up many different videos and an audio that was by one of the cameras. "There we go and now" She uploaded it send it to the big tv screen that surround them all from all angles. "This is our case we just done" said Santos "what exactly are we suppose to be—-" Santos was cut off midway when he spotted what look like a full blown figure that looks exactly like "No Freaking Way!" said, Leah. "Is tha?" She began to say. "It is Treston" said Jack through gritted teeth. "Wasn't he suppose to be dead?" asked Trey. "Yes but this doesn't make any sense" Maya said. Heather clear her throat "when you finally stop being in awe and allow me to actually speak would be very helpful indeed" Everyone remain hush and turn to Heather before Reggie says. "what's going on?" Heather began to speak and shown them clip by clip that while Treston is dead his body was never recovered at the scene. Everyone was confused. "Spirit or no spirits, dead bodies don't turn into liqudi or dust and just get blown in the wind" answered Santos. Heather nodded in agreement before speaking again and says, "Yes I agree, however take a look at this next clip "I thought the same thing until this happens and I manage to grab an audio recording"  Heather plays the interaction between the man and Treston. The clip shows what the audio capture and more that follows. Treston's soul return to his body and He vanish into thin air. The Man had Brown Hair, Red Eyes which quickly change back to Green. He stood in the middle clear as day. "He needs to work on his hair it's very 80s" "shush" said, Maya. The next part of the audio was capture by another camera from inside one of the shops, "Ah Mr. Stone" says the Shop Keeper of a bouquet. "The usual I presume?" Mr. Stone looks at the shop keeper with his green eyes and says, "Actually I'm in need of red & white roses" Jay says, "Well he got good taste I'll tell you that much"  Everyone look around him in a shock yet impressive looks on their faces. "Oh certainly, it's on the house" says the shop keeper. "Oh where's my matter, forgive me Debbie, how is Max doing these days?" asked Mr. Stone. The Shop Keeper places a bunch of roses nearly wrapped on the counter in front of him and with a very sad tone says, "I'm afraid, He isn't doing so well, Doctor says he may not live long. It's okay tho we are doing our best to push through it with what little we have" Debbie place the white roses nearly wrapped on the counter. "Oh I almost forgot" She says before heading to the back. The Man took a white rose and places it on the counter alongside some money which is a lottery ticket  before vanishing in plain sight.

"Okay this proves nothing, He has good taste in flowers, looks very 80s Has a somewhat decent soft spot for the Eledery citizens" Jay said. "What exactly am I missing?" he added. Heather passes a newspaper article around and said, "This, This video was taken over 2 weeks ago, This shop keeper won the lottery and was able to save her husband. "Lucky break?" asked Leah. "No, that's not it" said Santos. Reggie & Jack agree with him. "Even if Debbie didn't do a deal with the Devil"  said Reggie. "Devil..." Jack says. "Viva El Diablo. That's It!" Jack jump up. Heather smirk and says, "there it is" "but that doesn't explain the white rose" says Reggie. "White roses has different meaning depending on culture" replied, Santos. "What? My mother grew up in a flower shop" he added embrassed when everyone stared at him.

"I would assume it was good fortune, but  what about the Sloan" asked Jay. "Simple, Mr.Stone is the devil he's behind all of these crazy high alerts and more. He wants to bring evil and greed into the world is full of nothing but hatred" answered Jack. "We need fo find him and kill him or least find out his motives before other victim become his —-" Jack was cut off and a security guard ran in their office and says, "We have two men and a woman we manage to capture. They wanna speak to all of you" All 8 of them were shock so they went outside and grab their weapon and headed outside. The guards has them handcuff and one of the guys said, "It's them, We wanna speak to you" Reggie kept his distance and says, "Who are you and why are you here?" The same guy answer, "I'm Diego. This is Skylar & Nick" The Woman and said, "We know who you are and working with us will benefit you" said Skylar. "We know your looking for our leader and king" said Nick. Reggie looks at the others and signals the guard to incur them and let them keep their distance. "We will incur you but you do anything funny and we'll kill you with no hesitation" said  Jay.

"Let us in and we'll tell you everything" said Nick. "We promise, we never agree to this"  "wait what?" asked Heather. She step towards and decided to take all three of them to their office.
