Chapter Three: The Box of Lies

"What do you mean we didn't agree to this?" asked Leah. Diego, Slylar, & Nick look at each other and back at them. "Jefferson Stone" said Nick. "What?" asked Santos. "Jefferson Stome is his full name. He's the King of Hell" answered Skylar looking at them who now gather around the table. "Did you just say King of Hell?" asked Trey. "Y-Yes" replied Diego. "We made a devil with him when we were kids and in exchange he will protect our families and we shall in return sworn them in if they wanna sell their souls in exchange for information on an item" answered Nick. "What item?" asked Heather. "Some kind of tablet with Latin words, he wants to take over the world and wipe out humanity or worst" Nick said looking puzzle "although the motive isn't quite clear it always changes"  the 4 men and the 3 women were even more confused than ever. "How can we belong any of you say is even real?" asked Maya. "Your telling you guys are" Diego turn to her and says, "Yes, We are Demons"  Silence follow by a small gasp that was made by Maya. "Why did you come here or how did you even find us?" asked Reggie. "None of this is adding up" 

Before Skylar, Nick & Diego can answer, The same guard re appear again and says, "I'm sorry to disturb you but we have another vistor" Feeling quite annoyed Reggie decided to go outside and they left Trey in charge of Diego, Skylar & Nick. Reggie, Jack, Maya, Santos, & Jay follow Reggie outside to see who the next visitor could be. One of the guard held this one vistor with a gun at his head. "Who the hell are you?" asked Jay. The Man'a head was facing the ground before giving a tiny grin and he said, "You heard my voice and you have a face to my name. You still asking me who am I" The crew took out their weapons and aim it at him and Maya & Leah at the same time says "Jefferson Stine" Jefferson lifted his head up with his red eyes and soon change it to green eyes and said, "The Haunted Homicde, you two must be Maya & Leah" He look at Santos. Reggie, Jay Jack &  Heather. "Your faces aren't forgettable. Reggie, Jay, Santos, Jack and of course Heather. He looks at his cane and said, "Your friend Trey is inside with my missing line up" Reggie look at him and said, "What do you want them!" Jefferson gave him a scowl and said, "I would suggest you bring them to me or something will happened to everyone" Santos said, "No we not giving them to you" Jefferson state at them all and responded, "You foolish humans trusting them so easily" Hos eyes turn red and said, "Give me my squad or one of you will be doomed" Maya says, "Why do you want them so bad? Why do you want the Latin tablet?" Jefferson face look surprise "How do you about them?" Heather said, "They told us everything and we will find those tablet and keep you forever in hell" Jefferson have a very cruel and evil laugh and says, "Foolish girl, You can't outwitt me, you wouldn't find me again after this and many people whom are under my control knows the connection I will get what belongs to me alongside a very special item. A weapon" Heather growls and she wanted to fire a shot at him but Maya look at her and nodded her head no. "It wouldn't be long until I get what's mine even if I kill them all to find them on my own. I would be careful and I would check on your friend Trey. You wouldn't want someone to harm him" Jack was gonna speak before they all heard a yelling and screaming. "TREY!!" said Reggie. Jay took aim at Jefferson but struck him in the shoulder before Jefferson vanish into thin air. They all ran back inside but they saw Trey trying to find two intruder in their office and 3 dead bodies. Trey was up agaisnt the wall with a gun pointed to his head by a man. The others had their weapons up and said, "Let him Trey go or we will be force to shoot said Leah. The Man didn't look at them quickly let Trey go when he heard his name. The woman next to him look at them "Nathan it's them" she said. The Man turn around and said, "Your right Angie it is them"  They still have their weapons drawn at them and Maya brown the slience "what the hell happened here did you kill them?" Nathan took a deep breathe and said, "No, they were hunchmen and woman to try and kill yiu all. Jefferson send them as a distraction to kill one of you. We follow them here before we thought he was part of them" He pointed to Trey  "We need to talk but first"  Jay look at them and said, "Are they dead or what?" Nathan walk over and pick up the 3 bodies and with tied them up while using a spell He said "ligatum" and like magic 3 hand cuff that looks like any other but had very powerful magic. "Just knock out. They aren't dead at least not yet" The Team just sat around looking confused and more. "First we meet Jefferson, Then these three and now you two" said Jay. "What's exactly is going on?" he added. Nathan sat down with them at the table and began to speak before Angie decided to break the silence "you guys solve cases like these all the time don't you?" She asked. "To a degree but not this crazy degree, what's next your gonna telling me your both angels searching for the tablets too?" Responded Maya. Angie & Nathan look at each other and nodded in agreement, "Yes but you must hear the whole story" said Nathan. Leah stood up and went to the kitchen to brew coffee for everybody.

Half an Hour later She came with coffee and gave them all a cup of coffee including Angie & Nathan. Everyone thank hee before sitting back down. Nathan began to explain who they were leaving no details out. He started by saying that they were both indeed angels, however their targets is to find both the demon tablet to keep them in hell and the angel tablet to keep it away from Jefferson because if the angel were to be knock out of heaven it would cause coas in all 3 realms. Angie, then step in to explain that the demon tablets were a weapon to keep Jefferson from ever returning and keep the peace at a somewhat balance level. The Team look at each other before Santos began to give a small laugh, "Okay so suppose what your saying is true, how exactly are we suppose to break such an acicent thing? We don't have magic, we humans with weapon, strengths, brains, and more. Magic isn't in our elements" He said staring at Nathan. Heather who has been quiet this whole time finally spoke up and said, "They aren't lying, I been reading up on all of these things. Nathan and his wife is correct" Nathan & Angie look at each other and then laugh "I'm not his wife but his partner and friend" Angie said. "but go on" she added. Heather look at everyone again, "I do have a friend her name is Avery and I have another one Devon ,they know Latin pretty well, with your permission I would like to bring them in" Jack sighs and says, "We have demons and angel so why not" Something was burning in the back of Maya & Leah's head and Maya says, "Even if we have them on board, how exactly are we suppose to find all of these tablets? You heard what Jefferson says, he has many demons targeting those with any kind of knowledgement in their raiders or he kills them if they don't speak" Nathan gave a tiny smug look and said, "Your Haunted Homicde aren't you? You need to solve these cases to get to the answer and stop Jefferson from consuming too much power" He responded. "It will be dangerous because finding these and doing trials will be testing all of your limits even those beyond human strengths. Your strengthen is among numbers"

"Okay We're In" said Everyone at once. "What about them?" asked Jay, "leave them to us" said Angie.
