"Can I have a bite?"
Minho leaned closer to the younger to feed him a bit of his noodles, laughing as some of the spicy sauce landed near Hyunjin's eye and caused him to dramatically flinch back with a closed-mouthed yelp.
"You okay? It didn't burn you right?" He covered his mouth with his hand to stifle his laughter. The way the ravenette always made most out of every situation was funny to him. Anything could be happening and Hyunjin would still be overdramatic ball of handsomeness.
Before Hyunjin got the chance to swallow what was in his mouth and answer, Minho got a fresh tissue and carefully wiped away the sauce.
"Wow you're so romantic I would take this as an invite to kiss you right now if you weren't a thing with Jisung." Hyunjin uttered with the utmost mesmerized expression, eyes glued to the ones of Minho who was until then focused on wiping away the mess and not hurting the younger. At the confession, his eyes met the other's, lips morphing into a humored smile.
"Well thank you for letting me practice, I'll make sure to use it on Jisung during our date tonight." He pulled his hand away and put the used tissue into a plastic bag he took with them to use as a trash bag. While taking his noodles back on his lap, he didn't register the look he was being given by the younger who was staring at him, mouth agape and a flabbergasted expression enlightening his features. "Huh? A date?!"
Minho's cheeks that were again full of noodles caught a deep shade of red as he was not expecting the information to be such a big surprise for his friend. "Yeah, he asked me out today." For some reason it made him very shy to talk about his and Jisung's developing relationship. It was not something he was used to and he was still coming to terms with the fact that Hyunjin cared. Of course he was there for him through some tough times, but it never felt as if he cared a whole lot. Which he, seemingly, did.
"It's so strange experiencing Jisung like that." Hyunjin shook his head in disbelieve and took a bite of his burger.
"He told me he hasn't been on a date before. Is that true?" He asked uncertainly, rather looking away so it wouldn't be spotted, how eagerly he wanted to know.
Hyunjin chuckled and covered his mouth since he was still chewing his food and answered, "he doesn't lie."
Minho's heart fluttered at the statement and he could feel himself blush again. Somehow Jisung made him feel special with everything he did. Maybe he was in too deep. Too swoon by his charms without any proper reason, but it was too late to try and save himself from it. He didn't want to get away anymore.
After all, he could if he wanted.
He could lose Hyunjin somewhere on the grounds of campus and run away or go to police. But no, he was enjoying his time with his friend and looked forward to the dinner date the man he liked a little too much asked him to.
"What about you, when will you ask him out?" He decided to reorient their conversation on Hyunjin and his lover boy to escape the embarrassing times he became flustered. Besides, he was honestly interested.
"I don't know. I don't even know if he likes me back..." He shook his head and looked away. Only thinking about how much it would hurt if Felix in fact did not like him at all, he got a sudden urge to call him and make sure they're still at least friends by getting his phone answered.
"I don't see why he wouldn't." Minho smiled in attempt to cheer up his friend. Hyunjin looked up at him again, trying his best to keep his cool and not give away his secret.
