Friday and the weekend passed quick, Grizzy watching his friends subtly as he recovered fully. He still got out of breath a bit too quickly, but he could breathe without coughing and his body aches were completely gone.

His friends never made any indication of telling him anything, though he never asked. He'd seen them whispering to each other when they thought he wasn't around, cutting off as he came into view.

It just made him feel more and more like an outsider. He knew this had to do with the new guy, the one he still had yet to meet. But he was going back to school that day, having spent all weekend doing his homework while avoiding his friends.

He was dressed, bag prepped, shoes on. He just needed to grab his keys, phone and wallet and he could head to the bus stop.

He stuck his headphones in his ears and left quietly, since Smiity was still asleep. Droid was already on campus, having had an 8am class, but Smiity's wasn't until noon and it was only 9 30.

He headed downstairs, humming quietly along with the music. He started down the road, not really focusing on anything in front of him.

A car horn blared under his music, making him jump and turn. Puffer drove up, grinning at him. "Hey hot stuff, need a ride?" He asked with a wink, elicting a laugh and Grizzy rolling his eyes.

He never took him or Blarg seriously with the flirting, having seen them toss similar comments to Droid and Smiity. He hated the flush that he knew stained his face at every comment though, and from Puffer's smirk growing, he knew the other saw it too.

"Yeah, sure. My rates are high though, think you can afford it?" Grizzy teased, Puffer laughing. "Here, this enough payment?" He asked, picking up a fresh coffee from the center console and a pastry bag.

Grizzy brightened, Puffer unlocking the doors as he hurried around and got into the passenger seat. He took the offered items as Puffer put the car in drive, taking a tentative sip and sighing blissfully.

"Puffer, you're a fucking godsend," he hummed happily, taking another drink. Puffer rolled his eyes and said, "It's just coffee Grizzy."

Grizzy shrugged, holding up the pastry bag. "You literally saved my life with this breakfast sandwich, I didn't get to eat before I left. I'd kiss you but I wanna eat this first," he said teasingly and Puffer rolled his eyes again.

Grizzy watched amused as Puffer turned his head to look out his window under the guise of checking the road before a turn, his ears and neck flushed.

Grizzy didn't comment though, focusing on eating his food while smirking a bit smugly. It was rare to make Puffer flustered, and he'd only ever done it once before completely by accident.

By the time Grizzy's sandwich  and half the coffee was gone, they were pulling into the student parking spot Puffer paid for. Holding onto his cup and bag, Grizzy got out and fell into step next to Puffer, the two headed up the path to the center where they'd split.

"Thanks for the coffee, sandwich and ride, Puffer," Grizzy said softly and Puffer grinned, nudging him with his elbow. "Any time man, glad to see you back in school. We'll meet up during lunch, yeah?" He said and Grizzy nodded cheerfully.

They split and Grizzy headed to class, finishing his coffee during the walk and tossing it into a trash can not too far away from the door. He headed into his animal biology class, one of the core classes for the animal health degree he was almost done with.

He went to talk to the teacher for a few minutes before class started, getting a few worksheets he needed to do since none of his friends had this class and couldn't get the homework.
