Reiterating once again, I don't ship anyone irl. This is for fun, hence the fantasy aspect of the AU, no chance of it being confused for "realistic". The guys' friendships are literally some of the best ones I've ever seen, I love it. I just like throwing characters into chaos o/
Anyway, enjoy!

Grizzy woke up slowly, his body feeling extremely heavy. His head pounded something fierce and his throat was dryer than a desert, but he was warm. Really warm. Honestly, way too warm for his own bed.
He opened his eyes confused, looking around dazed until the morning shadows pieced things together and memories of the night before flooded his brain.
Holy shit, his friends were fucking magical. And Percy was a bad guy but- not bad guy? Just misguided. And Puffer-
His eyes widened and he looked down quickly, realising he was practically laying on top of a still asleep Puffer. Grizzy twitched, ready to yank himself away only to freeze, not wanting to wake him.
And also, his head was really fucking hurting and the tiny jerk he'd just done sent a spike against his skull.
He laid back down, feeling Puffer's arm tighten around him lightly. Grizzy paused, wondering if Puffer was waking but the other just let out a huff of air and turned his face to bury it into Grizzy's hair.
Grizzy closed his eyes, which helped the pounding in his head. He didn't notice he'd fallen asleep until he felt a hand running slowly up and down his arm and a soft whispering.
He grumbled, tucking his face further into his pillow until the pillow moved, a faint chuckle coming from above him. "You awake?" Puffer asked softly and Grizzy grumbled again, trying to be casual as he slowly pulled away from Puffer.
"Unwillingly," he answered and Puffer grinned, shaking his head. "Matt texted, said he wants to come check on your head. And Pezzy said Percy's asking after you," he said and Grizzy nodded, not even bothering to fight the temptation to just flop back down and hide his face on Puffer's arm.
Puffer shifted, his other arm moving to wrap around Grizzy's waist. Grizzy didn't move, though he relaxed a bit more.
"You really fucking scared me, man," Puffer whispered and Grizzy clenched his jaw, guilt flashing through him.
"I should have listened to you guys. You all spent over a month telling me to be careful, and I didn't listen," he whispered and Puffer sighed.
"We didn't give you any reason to trust us. It's just- really difficult to explain without visuals," he said and Grizzy leaned back so he could look Puffer in the face properly.
"Can you show me?" He asked and Puffer smiled faintly, holding his hand out. Grizzy watched as the air shimmered, water droplets forming above them to merge together and form a star.
He reached out amazed, touching the star lightly. It held its shape, no water getting onto his fingers, but he could tell it was water.
"How?" He asked and Puffer hummed, the star dissolving back into thin air. "We're called Balavens, except for Percy and Droid, they're 5th Forms. We can all control an element, water being mine.
"Every person in the world is aligned with an element. Like how some people run hot, or others have an amazing green thumb, or others can swim for ages without problems.
"But Balevens, we can manifest our element into the physical form. There's not a lot of us, and the number isn't very known because every time a Balaven is found by the Circle, we vanish.
