I woke up to a cold winter morning. I just turned sixteen and in a week winter break would arrive and we will be out of school. I scratched my head and slowly got out of bed. What a cold morning, I thought to myself as I walked to my window. I pulled the curtains back and saw snow on the ground, great, I smirked, now I have to find my snow boots.
“Jamie, hurry up or you’ll be late for school,” my mother yelled down stairs.
“Yes ma ma, I’m coming!” I grabbed my bag and hurried down stairs. I got to the bottom and my mother, waiting for me as always, kissed my forehead as I kept walking to the kitchen. The toast pop out of the toaster as I grabbed in and put it in my mouth. I went to the fridge, got my water and my vitamin water and hurried to the front door. My mother waited for me there to run though my daily check list. She hurried up and before I walked out the door she grabbed my shoulder.
“Your father stopped by last night while you were sleeping,” she said as she stared at the ground.
I grabbed the toast out of my mouth and placed it on the nearest table, “What, how come you didn’t wake me up!”
“I was about to, but your father didn’t want to wake you, he knows how hard you are taking our divorce. He put some snow tired on your car to make sure you were safe.”
My parents haven’t been divorced for a year and they already act like it. I shook my head as I reached down for my toast and put it back in my mouth. My mother kissed my head and I hurried out the door.
I walked to my light blue volts wagon bug and saw that my father did put snow tires on them. I sighed and hurried inside because of the cold weather. I started to eat my toast as I turned on my car and blast the heat. I didn’t mind cold weather, because of the snow, but other than that I would rather be tanning and going to the beach. Once I finished my unhealthy breakfast I put my car in gear and headed to school.
The one thing that comes with snow is ice, my car kept sliding and I recovered many times. I parked in the school parking lot and turned off my car. I got out of my car and went inside. “Jamie, finally you’re here, do you have the presentation about mythical creatures for Mr. Jones,” my best friend, also for every project, partner Nora?
I smirked, “I love how I do all the work and we both get credit for it.”
Her mouth dropped as she put up her finger, which meant she was going to start sassy me, “Umm, excuse me, but last time I checked you love this subject and I did everything else for the projects!”
I rolled my eyes, “Yet I have to take it home and check everything.”
She gave me a discussed look, “Touché!”
When we arrived at my locker I put in my combination and opened my locker. Nora hit me, I turned and her mouth was open as a handsome guy walk by. His black hair fallen slightly over his eyes as his build boy fit his dark blue hoodie and skinny jeans perfectly. I heard Nora sigh, I turned back around to my locker to grab my books. I closed my locker and looked at Nora, “I wonder where his locker is,” Nora said like she was in love?
I rolled my eyes, “Lets go Nora, you don’t want to be late for first period.”
Her eyes got big as she jumped up and down, “Ooooo, I wonder if he is in my first period!” I rolled my eyes and laughed.
I put my books down at my work table, biology wasn’t my best subject. I sat down and propped my head up with my hand and looked at the clock. In every class I sat by myself, even though Nora was in some of my classes, she would get side tracked and get moved to the front. I didn’t have a partner or anyone that liked me so I did everything myself. The bell rang as everyone hurried to their seats. I tiredly leaned back in my chair as the teacher started to talk. I didn’t pay attention in class, learning something myself is easier then someone teaching me it. I started to play with my long autumn brown hair when there was a knock on the door. The principle walked in and so did the boy we saw in the hallway!
My eyes got big as I started to fix my hair to look nice. I started to play with my thumbs with my head down so I could hear. I couldn’t hear much, I looked up and I saw the teacher pointing to me and the boy started to walk over towards me. I kept looking down, I wasn’t good at saying hi, or bringing out the welcome wagon! He sat down beside me, I looked up and he smiled. His teeth were amazingly white and his eyes were crystal blue like mine. I couldn’t help but smile back, he was gorgous.
“Hi, I’m Jack,” he announced as he put his hand out.
“Jamie,” I said shyly and shook his hand. His hand was cold, I guess its from the weather.
I started to look around and glace at him, everytime I looked he was staring at me. I turned to him and smiled again. Wow, I’m this bad at meeting new people, especially boys! He smiled again, “Sorry, its just that your very beautiful.”
I blushed, “Thank you.”
He looked at my binders and back at me, “Whats your schedule, I would love to see if we have any classes together?” I wrote down my schedule and handed it to him. He smiled, “Those are all my classes!”
I smiled, “Haha, that’s luck.”
He looked at me in the eyes, “No, that’s fait.”
“Jamie, Jamie, over here,” Nora yelled from our lunch table. “Today is a early release, are we going to your house after lunch,” Nora asked as she bite into her burger?
“I guess if you want to.” Nora smiled as I turned away.
“Hi, Jamie, do you mind if I sit with you,” Jack asked as he hurried to where we sat?
I smiled, “Sure, we would love if you sat with us!”
He sat down beside me and I looked at Nora, she looked like she was struck with cupids love arrows. I laughed, “Jack this is my best friend Nora, Nora this is Jack.”
“I’m her future best friend,” he said with a smile.
We all laughed, “Please to meet you Jack, you’re very handsome,” Nora said still struck.
His smile went to a “trying” to be polite smile, but Nora didn’t care.
I tried not to laugh at my best friend, she was love struck!
I rushed to my locker, grabbing my books, “Hey Jamie, wonderful weather were having,” Jack said as he leaded against the locker beside me and smiled.
I blushed, “It is, I love the snow, other than that, I’m not every fond of winter.”
He smirked, “Well I love winter, its my favorite season!”
I smiled, “I’m glad to see that.”
I closed my locker and he walked me to my car. He smiled at my car and back at me, I shrugged. He walked over to my car, bent down and looked at my tires, “Snow tires?”
I hide my face, “Yeah…, my dad put them on there.”
He smiled and got up and opened the door for me. I giggled and got in my car, “Hey, umm, Nora is coming over today, and if you want you can come over to,” I said nervously.
He smiled, “I love to, even though your friend scares me a bit.”
I smiled, “Well, if you haven’t notice she likes you a little bit,” I said while starting my car and looking back at him.
He stared into my eyes, “I think I like you instead.”
