I'm Dating Jack Frost!

Chapter 2

“Hey Nora,” I said as I opened the door.

            “Hey Jamie,” she said while bringing in marshmallows, chocolate, and grand crackers.

            I laughed, “Is there enough for one more?”

            She looked up at me, “Your mom is covered, I wouldn’t forget her, she is like my mom!”

            I laughed, “I meant for Jack.”

            She smiled, “He’s coming, oh my gosh, Jack is coming!”

            I rolled my eyes, “Nora aren’t you forgetting something.”

            She stopped dancing, “I know, I know, I have Jarred.”

            I nodded my head as the doorbell rang. I hurried to the door as I saw my mom coming down the stairs all dressed up. “Where are you going all dressed up?”

            She kissed my head, “I have a date,” she said rushing to the door.

            “Wait,” I stopped her, “I invited Nora over and Jack.”

            She looked at me strange, “Jack, who’s Jack?”

            “New kid, he didn’t have any friends and I thought it would be a good idea if he hung out with us, we have enough smores,” I smiled.

            She laughed, “Okay, is he going to be coming over a lot too?”

            I shrugged, “I guess,” I smiled and kissed her cheek and opened the door. It was Jack! “Hey Jack, this is my mom, mom this is Jack.”

Her eyes grew big and she smiled, “Nice to meet you Jack, I’m sorry I wont be with you guys tonight, I have a date.”

Jack smiled, “Well the man  is very lucky, you look nice.”

My mom blushed, “Thank you young man.”

 “Nora is in the living room,” I laughed and point where Nora was, she was waving her hand franticly. Jack waved and walked into the living room.

“You didn’t tell me he was handsome and a gentleman, you too would be cute together, and I approve,” I mother said trying to make it look sercret.

I pushed her, “Don’t you have somewhere to be!”

She laughed as the doorbell rang, “Well that’s my date,” she kissed me on my head and she opened the door while I walked into the living room.

“Hey guys sorry it took me so long, my mom wanted to tell me something.”

Nora smirked, “I know what she was talking about,” she winked. I held my breath, oh gosh nose! “She wanted get some dating advice from then best, since you have and always have been single.”

I gave Nora a discussed look, “You seriously had to go there!”

Jack tried not to laugh, “Don’t worry, I never had a girlfriend.”

Nora and I looked at each other and our mouths dropped. “You never had a girlfriend,” Nora yelled!

He shook his head and shrugged, “Guess I haven’t found the right girl,” he said and looked at me in my eyes.

I smiled and glanced away and back at Jack. He smiled his beautiful smile when I heard a coughing noise. I got out of Jack lala land and we both looked at Nora.

“I’m here too!”

I shrugged, “Sorry, kinda got caught up in something,” I said jokingly.

Jack smiled, “I was getting lost.”

I smiled and blushed while trying to hide my face.

“I’m going to get the smores ready,” Nora announced as she got up and went to the kitchen.

I giggled, “I’m going to start the fire outside, you going to stay here or come with me?”

Jack hurried to the door and opened it up and bowed, “Ladies first.”

I smiled, “Well thank you kind sir,” I pleasantly said while I smiled and walked through the door. I told Jack to get fire wood and I got the matches, Jack sat the sat it up nicely as I started to put paper around it and started the fire. We pulled up three chairs and three tables for us.

Jack leaned back in his chair, “Jamie, I have a question.”

I sat up, “Yeah, what is it Jack?”

He sat up, propped himself up and starred into my eyes, “Is it true,” he said with a smirk?

I tired not to smile, “Is what true?”

“That you never had a boyfriend?”

I sighed, “Yep, I guess I haven’t found the right guy yet,” I said with a smirk.

We gazed into each others eyes as we leaned in. I closed my eyes when I heard the door open.

“Woah, am I interrupting something,” Nora asked as she brought in the smores?

Jack and I quickly sat up and smiled like nothing happened. I pulled my hair back, “Haha, nope, not at all!”

Jack leaned back in his chair and smiled, “You know, we weren’t trying to kiss or anything,” he said jokingly.

I pushed him and smiled at Nora. “Can I invite Jarred, you know so Jack doesn’t feel like the only guy here.”

I looked at Jack, he nodded, “Sure, go ahead,” I nodded.

Nora clapped her hands together and ran inside. “I thought Nora was single,” Jack leaned in and asked.

I giggled, “Yeah, she wants guys to think that. Why, you interested in her,” I pushed him jokingly?

He smirked, “Nah, I already have my eye on someone.”

I jolted up and looked at him strange, “Who?!”

He turned towards me, “You,” he smiled and turned back to the fire.

I blushed, “Me?! Wh…, why me?”

He smiled while looking into the fire, “You’re the only one who actually didn’t like me for my looks, and believe me, I know when people like me for my looks. The popular girls wanted me to sit with them at lunch and during class, but I didn’t want to, I wanted to sit with you. I hope I’m not creeping you out at all.”

I smiled, “Of course not!” I grabbed his cold hand, “I hope you don’t find this strange either, but I knew something was different about you and I guess this is what it is.”

Jack’s smile went to a smirk then looked back at the fire then it turned into a frown. I leaned back in my chair, was it something I said? Did I do something that made it awakward? What did I do? “You didn’t do anything.” I looked up at Jack, he grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes, “Its my fault that your upset right now, its just, I have been going through this thing for awhile and I cant tell anyone and if I did they laugh at me like im crazy.”

I looked into his eyes, “I would understand if you gave me a chance.”

He shook his head, “No one will.” Jack stood up and walked into the house.

I followed him, “Where are you going?”

He turned around, “Im sorry, I have to leave, I’m sorry,” Jack opened the door and left.

I stood there staring at the door, depressed and sad. He left, I felt my eyes water up. I wiped them away, I only knew this dude for a day and I’m already falling for him!
