[Inanimates driven to Insanity] - Inanimate Insanity Fic

The sighting.

All of the contestants are off doing their own things, and Fan, being purely curious, wanders around to observe, and he spots MePhone! The host of Inanimate insanity, sitting by a tree, but, oddly enough, his hands seem to be on the ground, coughing. Not noticing this and skipping over to chat, fan notices something wrong. There are scrapes all over his arms, and his eyes.. look dull, and pale.

"..Hey, MePhone. You okay?"

Fan is met with a silence.
A chilling silence.

"..Mepho--"

MePhone had turned around with an anguished look, and clawed at fan. Fan, jumping away in time thanks to his quick reaction, can tell something is severely wrong. There had been a rumor among the contestants that MePhone was sick, but nobody had believed it to be this bad. Fan, backing away slowly in fear, noticed some tiny white dots in the big cracks on his screen, moving, digging into his face more.

Horrified, pale and disgusted, Fan tries to see if MePhone was still in there somewhere behind the aggression, but all that could be heard was his voice through coughing, and even then, drops of blood had gotten on Fan, as MePhone4 was hands were on the ground from agonizing pain and twitching, coughing up something alive.

and moving.

The second fan saw the movement from whatever MePhone coughed up, he quickly ran back to the others to tell them, and the first one he reached happened to be Nickel.

N: "Will you be quiet, Fan??? You're being SO loud, What happened?"

F: (Through shaky breaths) "THERES NO TIME TO EXPLAIN, GATHER EVERYONE INTO THE HOTEL, AND FAST!"

N: "AAH! Well, okay!!? Just tell me wh-"

F: "It's MePhone!! You know how everyone thought he was sick?.. Well, it's really. Really. BAD! THIS COULD BE DEADLY!"

N: "I STILL DONT--"

F: "THERES WORMS ON HIM! THEY- THEYRE EATING HIM! JUST- JUST FUCKIN HURRY!!!??" Fan could barely get a word out, he was petrified, panicking, rushing, and shouting.

Upon hearing this, Nickel also went pale and stopped dead in his tracks, turning and running with Fan to warn everyone, as they had seen the severity of the situation now, more clearly. Coincidentally, everyone was already gathered, and turned immediately when they heard Nickel and Fan shouting to warn them to get inside Immediately. Not many people understood the severity of it all, and just did so, thinking it was some prank. But, seeing how desperately they were rushed into the hotel, they got a grasp of how serious it was. Before the doors were shut and barricaded, Bow caught a glimpse of MePhone approaching the door quickly.
Frantic.
Hungry.

The door was shut, locked and barricaded after she saw it.

She stepped back and held herself, (in this story she's not dead) and Marshmallow stepped up beside her to pat her back and try to comfort her, but it was no use. She couldn't even provide the comfort she didn't have. The air had a certain chill, and everyone was afraid. Microphone turned to Taco with desperate eyes, hoping none of this was real. Fan and Test tube held hands, while fan shivered, as he had been the first to witness the horror of this parasitic sickness. Test tube, being aware of this, stepped closer to fan by means of protecting him. Nickel was in a state of silent panic, as Fan's shouting at him to gather everyone had taken him by surprise.

About an hour later, people managed to fit into hotel rooms, the whole hotel being dead silent, and every now and then, someone checking on the door.
Paintbrush, having caught on the trend, visited the door, going down the stairs and to the lobby where the only entrance was. Boarded up. Blocked.
Lightbulb had followed after them, worried that this was just all so sudden. Nothing like this had ever happened before, and she couldn't help but worry about everyone.

L: "Painty, it'll be fine. Stuff like this usually, uhh.. works itself out.."

P: "No, but, you know what IS bothering me?"

L: "Hm?"

P: "If we can't get MePhone back.."

Paintbrush turns to Lightbulb with their eyebrows scrunched, seemingly on the verge of tears.

"He can't revive any of us anymore. Once one of us is gone.. we're gone."

..

"It's all or nothing, lightbulb."
