(This is the shortened version of this story. If you want the full version, maybe I'll post it one day.)

This isn't how you thought moving into a new town would be. Life had been perfect before coming here. Until you found out the secret of your new house that is. It was beautiful; a Victorian household that looked breathtaking. You had always wanted to live somewhere with such beauty that you were so excited to move in. What you didn't know at the time was the story behind the house. The horrific tale of the last homeowners.

Everyone in town knew what happened. A nice couple used to live in your house with their only son. Everyone adored the family. They were the type of neighbors that everyone cherished. The ones who'd watch over your house when you were out for the week, brought you fresh homemade cookies. The ideal ones you only ever saw in movies. It was a shame that their son wasn't as ideal. Everyone hated him. He was odd if not manic. There were rumors he would torture poor animals, specifically any wolves he found in the forest. People were terrified of the kid. They wish they had seen it coming when his entire family was found dead one day, bloody and gutted. The police found him in the attic, shaking and laughing when he suddenly took his own life. The autopsy came back with his parents each holding more than a hundred stab wounds, the knife used having the son's fingerprints all over. The murder was all over the news and the house was closed up for years until new owners bought it and cleaned up. How foolish it was of your family to move into the murder house.

That wasn't the beginning of your worries. The son of that family was psychotic and his spirit was far from restless. It still haunted the house, wandering the halls but remaining primarily in the attic. Your parents were warned that he existed, not that they paid attention to the warnings, however. The moment you stepped into the home, he had fallen head over heels in love. He was obsessed, to say the least, and when you first came home from your new school, crying, he couldn't let it slide.

"My precious... Why are you crying?" he whispered softly as you lay in bed, tears streaming down your face. Although he knew you couldn't hear or feel him, he leaned closer, brushing his hand gently against your head, filled with concern. Someone had hurt you, and he swore he would never allow that to happen again. In that moment, his outrage sparked a powerful energy within him, causing his hand to harden. For a fleeting instant, you flinched, sensing his touch.

This was a revelation for him—he realized that with enough anger, he could reach out and connect with you, to interact with the world around him.He didn't waste any time in utilizing his newfound ability. As soon as night fell, he felt an intense urgency to test it out. All he needed was to ignite his anger, a feeling that surged within him whenever he thought of the world around him. He reflected on everything that fueled his rage—memories of your tears, the disappointment he remembered in his parents' eyes, and the frustrations that had piled up inside him over time. With each thought, the anger intensified, washing over him like a tidal wave. Before he knew it, he could feel the transformation beginning. The power swelled within him, and he concentrated fiercely. The familiar sensation of his body hardening into flesh surged through him once more, granting him the ability to open the door and step into the night.

It all began with just a few missing boys. One by one, their disappearances turned into a disturbing pattern. Soon after, teachers, girls, neighbors—people were vanishing into thin air. Fear gripped the town as uncertainty loomed over everyone. Many residents started to suspect a murderer was on the loose, leading them to lock themselves inside their homes, desperately trying to protect their loved ones. But despite their precautions, more and more people continued to disappear from their houses, leaving families on edge and terrified.

You cried as you stepped onto the scene. Blood paintde the floor of your home, bodies laid in piles. Your family was dead. Your mother, your father, and your little brother, all laid on the floor lifeless and bloody. You choked on your sobs of anguish, your legs shaking along with every bit of your body. Suddenly the yelp and whimper of a puppy broke your frozen state. Snowball! Your tiny little baby of a puppy was still alive! You ran toward the sound of his cries, finding him curled into a corner behind the couch. The poor boy... You slowly leaned down and picked him up, hugging the dog with gentle care, "Shh.. sh.. its okay," you assured the small animal. He was crying too it seemed, his little body was trembling so badly.

It was just the two of you now. Suddenly, the building began to shake violently, and you stumbled, barely managing to grab onto the wall for support. The ground was cracking beneath you, urging you to sprint for the stairs. Clutching Snowball tightly to your chest, you bounded up the stairway. The rumbling continued, forcing you to push upward until you reached the highest point possible: the attic.

A soft chuckle echoed through the walls, giving the house an eerie feeling, as if it were shifting on its own. He was here. "I've waited so long for you. I've gone to great lengths to bring you here," he said, his voice smooth and seemingly comforting. But deep down, you knew there was nothing to find solace in—he was a monster in every sense of the word.

There was no choice left but to head into the attic, the only door still standing. You slowly pushed it open, revealing a sight beyond your wildest imagination. Massive creatures—wolves—filled the space, their fur displaying a variety of colors. Many of them growled immediately upon seeing you. One stood out, exuding confidence. It lunged at you, roaring as its powerful jaws snapped just inches from your face. You screamed, clutching your puppy tightly, who whimpered in your arms. When you finally opened your eyes, you realized that the wolf was being held back by some invisible force. It struggled, yet something kept it at bay.

"XANDER! YOU STUPID MUTT!" a booming voice bellowed. The large wolf yelped and recoiled. Suddenly, the name clicked in your mind—Xander, one of the boys who had gone missing. He had been a long-time bully of yours, always annoying, and now he was the first among many to vanish.

You scanned the room, and it felt like everything had finally fallen into place. "Xander?" you said cautiously to the wolf, as if your theory might actually be true. This was truly the real Xander...
