This is an alternate version of the 1st book of the fanfic I wrote (TWR: Mirage) although, I decided to release it before continuing my work on the sequel of the
OG fanfic, thus; i hope you enjoy it

A halo bearer wields a divinium sword in one hand outside York Minster between her sister warriors and the assassins who struggle to avoid the possessed by wraith demons.

The halo bearer advances against a man with a dark beard and long hair to his shoulders.

She swings her sword against him who catches her hand, dropping her to the ground, disarming her who once she stood saw her own sword get plunged into her chest.

"Sister Beatrice, wake up."

In a room with dim lights, Beatrice jumps out of her nap looking at Camila who's standing next to her.

"We're under attack, sister," she continued.

She loads her crossbow and Beatrice stands up taking her gun then places the staff on her hips.

"Where is she?" Beatrice asked.

She walks to the door and Camila follows her.

"With the others," Camila answered.

They pass the corridor seeing red light mixed with blue appearing like a thread while they're moving down.

"She didn't bear the halo yet, this is impossible to happen," Beatrice commented.

They stare at it for a moment, thus, they continue their way out.

"Adriel's presence elevates their hunger," Camila presumed.

They pass the 1st floor and before they exit, Beatrice stares at Camila.

"You're right, sister," Beatrice responds.

Beatrice opens the door to find her team and The Hidden Ones facing Crimson and her PMC's.

"At last, I was wondering where were you, sis," Crimson told Beatrice.

Father Vincent who stands next to Ava and Desmond sees the red lights that started to take many colors.

A hole opened that a tarask came out of it.

The tarask roars indicating they're hungry to eat both of them alive without mercy.

A few days before they became rogue, the sister warriors were led by Shannon.

And on that day they were on a hunt for Adriel's bones.

Which's located in the crypt of York Minster.

And they believed that Jillian and her secret allies want it to unleash hell.

In a hotel room where Shannon stands next to a screen.

Explaining her plan to get the bones and burn it.

Presuming a disastrous event would occur if someone else gets it.

"We move tomorrow at dawn, yet we should be cautious while we're there because we might stumble across them and there's no need to remind you of how intelligent they are. If anyone here hesitates, there's still a chance for them to walk away because there are others who want to prove themselves."

She looks at her team who sits down waiting for another word.

"Well devotees, have a rest for now," she stated.
