" What do you mean?" Duretti asked.

"Yesterday, her nurse left her on her bed, and when the morning came, she didn't find her there," said the male figure.

"Didn't the security see anyone entering or exiting the area?" he wondered.

"They were killed," he responded.

"Is it recorded?" in a shocked voice.

"I don't know if you'd believe this, your eminence, but I suggest you send someone you trust to the crime scene," he commented.

In a hotel room in Italy outside the Vatican,

the OCS with the assassins sat down listening to Rebecca Crane.

"You're saying he was acting on his own?" Superion asked.

"The superiors of Abstergo believe he's getting orders from someone else, and they have possible suspects. One of them is Jillian Salvius," said Rebecca.

"How are we going to find him?" Desmond wondered.

"You have connections with every secret society, right?" Ava asked.

"I know a group that is planted in every country and every system of it, and I hope they'll help us," Rebecca replied.

Mother Superion's phone rang, which made her leave the place.

She answered the caller, who was Duretti.

"Yes, Francesco?" said Superion.

"Sister Shannon has disappeared, Suzanne," Duretti said with disappointment.

"How is that possible? Why is Adriel so interested in her?" Superion wondered.

"He had nothing to do with it. It's someone else we don't know yet," Duretti said.

"Send me the location, your eminence. I know someone who can handle such a problem," Superion replied.

She informed Vincent of the incident, and he asked his friend William to get someone to assist him in his mission.

William agreed to let him take Lucy and Lin beside the ones that Superion assigned, which were Camila and Mary.

Desmond stood on the balcony staring at the sky as the assigned team headed to the location.

He noticed Ava coming close, standing next to him.

"I was wondering about our adversary and what if he finds something valuable in that book to use against us," Ava said.

"Even if he did, there must be a way to undo his deeds," Desmond responded.

"Do you know it?" Ava asked.

"Not yet," Desmond replied.

"Then how are you supposed to find it?" Ava wondered.

"We existed during oppression, prosperity, and all kinds of time periods because your order and ours were united up until the second purge occurred," Desmond responded.

"I joined because I had no other choice," Ava commented.

"You remind me of myself when I resented my order. Although, whatever you decide is up to you, but don't stop being a brave woman," Desmond responded.

"Sure, brother... wish I could say the same, but it seems you've been in the field before me," said Ava.

"And I've seen what you haven't yet," Desmond responded.

"What do you mean?" Ava asked.

"That part is left for the halo bearer to discover," Desmond smirked.

He exited the room, smiling at Beatrice, who entered lately.
