A leap into the unknown

Desmond Miles sits in a truck near Hastings,

and behind them sit their fellows, and three trucks follow them.

"What makes you sure he's heading there?" Shaun wonders.

"Our ancestors before us took many leaps toward the unknown for the greater good," Miles responded.

"But in our modern day, one small move and everything collapses on our heads, Desmond," said Shaun.

"Trust me," Desmond replied.

Ava was sitting near Lucy, who stared at her.

"Is that common between you? Relying on blind assumption?" Ava asked.

"In certain areas, every move they take should be studied, and it seems Desmond adapts the ways of Ibn-La'Ahad's method," Lucy commented.

"Your order sounds complicated," Ava stated.

"You haven't dug into yours yet, sis," Lucy joked.

"How much do you know?" Ava wondered.

"Well, she's right..." Beatrice interfered.

"Folks, the news is out," Camila said through the earpiece.

"What is it, Cam?" Beatrice wondered.

She played a video of a journalist paying tribute to Abner and mentioning his career as a peace advocate between religions.

"The opposition is pissed, I presume," Ava commented.

In Abstergo HQ, Adriel and Vidic were watching the TV, Warren disappointed by what he heard. 

Adriel was neutral about that because he saw that coming during the meditation.

"This is gonna shift the whole situation for us, Warren..." Adriel stated.

"The elders had big plans for the Vatican," Warren commented.

"The plan is still possible if we try the first solution before executing the big move," Adriel said.

"Although you need your army, my lord, and its leader is heading to Lisbon," Warren responded.

"She'll lead the mission... but I need an assistant, and you'll find me that person, Mr. Vidic. As for now, I'm going to join her team," Adriel stated.

He vanished from Warren's sight, and Sophia Rikkin entered the room.

Vidic turned his head to the TV, seeing Cardinal Duretti standing between the followers paying tribute to Richard Abner.

"He was a dear friend to me. He placed God first and was very careful in his actions against our enemies. Losing him has impacted us all. Thus, in four days, his predecessor shall replace him to continue God's work," Duretti announced.

"Behind his words, a snake is hidden," Sophia uttered.

Warren was surprised to see Ms. Rikkin, who didn't notice her entering.

"Where's our Master? I heard from you he wants to reform our order," she asked.

In a garage where Violet and her team were heading to their trucks, Adriel appeared before them, obstructing their movement. Violet seemed to lift an eyebrow, and Adriel smirked.

"We didn't meet properly, and I'm really sorry for what you've seen from your former colleague," Adriel stated.

"Your reputation precedes you, and an ignorant would oppose you. Although, I'm on a mission to retrieve what our mutual foe took," Violet responded.
