Chapter 4 - 'Addiction'

Some people simply do not know when's enough is enough. Other times it has become so much of an issue that the substance that they utilize to sustain their happiness can be considered abuse, and when they depend on it for their everyday life despite it not being a necessity at times. This would be called an addiction, however not all addictions involve with drugs. Sex addictions are when people like to have sex more than they need to and internet addiction comes in the form of being chronically online for almost 24/7 with no breaks in between.

An addiction will always destroy the user, even if they know that they can control it. The addiction controls them in the end.

-(Girls Changing Room)-

Nicole: "Rgh.. Ew, this rope is filthy." Nicole was hauling a climbing rope into the changing room for some reason.

Ari: "What are you doing with the climbing rope?"

Nicole: "Nothing just, moving it. Unrelated, do you know how to tie a noose?"

Ari: "Why would I know how to do that?"

Nicole: "You were in the girl scouts?"

Ari: "Yeah we learned how to tie knots to go on boats and shit, not hang ourselves."

Nicole: "Well we're just assuming a whole lot today aren't we?"

Jecka entered the changing room. "Hey guys, what's going on-- Why is the rope in here?"

Ari: "She was just asking me how to tie a noose."

Jecka: "..And like, did you help her?"

Ari: "Should I?"

Jecka: "Nicole are you really trying to kill yourself again?"

Nicole: "Yeah, No? Uh, Pick your favorite answer out of those."

Jecka turned back to Ari. "Why would you help her tie a noose?"

Ari: "I didn't! Oh my god I can't right now!" Ari had fled the changing room in a hurried panic.

Nicole: "What's her problem?"

Jecka: "What's your problem? We're not even two weeks back yet and you're trying to hang yourself with the gym rope."

Nicole: "Dude you have no idea what I had to witness this morning. The Jeffrey kid was doing cartoon noises for Mr. Burleday and the guy just nodded telling him he had a future in Hollywood."

Jecka: "Like he wasn't joking?"

Nicole: "Yes so now he's just encouraged to go up to us talking like Elmo all day."

Jecka: "Alright, yeah I get it but could you hold off killing yourself for two more weeks, we're still partners in the lab, remember?"

Nicole: "Oh that's your motive keeping me alive, yeah sure no problem."

Jecka: "So will I see you in science today?"

Nicole: "About that, why don't we just go and do something else? Regardless of whatever you say I'm not showing up to any class with Jeffrey for the rest of the week."

Jecka: "I've exerted all my energy to keep you alive and you're still not gonna go?"

Nicole: "You can come with me if you want."

Jecka: "Uh, I'm trying to get into a college after I graduate."

Nicole: "Fine go to science and let Jeffrey do the Elmo voice at you."
