A/N: "I picture (Y/N) as a bit of a social outcast. Someone who keeps most of his thoughts to himself rather than voicing them out loud. Since he doesn't openly express his concerns much, his commentary is mostly internal, meaning he tends to overthink rather than drop snappy one-liners."

A/N: "I also want to clarify that while (Y/N) has been a chill and generally nice guy so far, I don't want him to turn into some invincible, archetypal "Nice Guy" Mary Sue. In this arc, I want to push him more, make him struggle, lose his cool, and actually develop beyond just being some half-baked Ayanokoji Kiyotaka knockoff. He needs flaws, better dialogue, and moments where he's not always effortlessly composed. Because, the interesting part about a character is watching them fall off their high horse or in particular, watching them fail. He's laid-back, not overly hostile, but definitely not the type of guy who's a perfect human being with no flaw."

A/N: "To really capture the Class of '09 experience, I've cooked up some brutal endings where (Y/N) meets a terrible fate. But I'm not about to run myself into burnout again. So, if my fixation with '09 sticks around, I'll save those darker endings for AO3. From here on, this Wattpad fic will serve as a mega timeline, blending the OG story with snippets of Re-Up/Flipside to fill the gaps. Maybe even an after-story, Clannad-style."

A/N: "Lastly, this Wattpad version of the story is going to stay pretty tame. If I ever cross-post this to AO3, it'll need some serious reworking. Writing '09 characters is tricky. Not just because I was still in diapers back then during '09 in real life, but because I constantly have to ask myself how far I can push the comedy without it feeling like thinly veiled bigotry and without getting my account terminated in the process. Also, let's be real. Self-inserts don't tend to fly well on AO3 in the first place."
