The reason I'm not talking about the 'actual' reason why Avni left them is because I want Neil to realise his mistake not by that. The show really made me so angry like, he really needed proof to know why she left? And after knowing that, suddenly, where did the love and care come from? I agree that Neil suffered, But Avni suffered equally, if more only, so the show did not do justice to her. As someone who loved her to eternity, shouldn't he know her? He can be angry but the hatred.. and marrying Mitali? It was all unnecessary. That is why I am not talking about the actual reason because in my point of view the reason has no value for making Neil realise his mistakes.
That is why I did not press on that matter.

“Death is giving you a second chance, because life never will.”
“Madam!” A streak from behind haulted Avni’s steps. She stopped. Breathed in. Breathed out. Lips trembled. Hands wet. And yet managed to muster the courage to take her steps back. As she took two steps behind, she saw a nurse, heaving due to shortage of breath after the almost marathon that she had ran.
A glimmering hope shone in Avni's eyes when the nurse pointed to the place where her life laid. Confusion turned to happiness when the nurse smiled. She could not believe it. He was back. He came back.
With each step she took forward, she could feel her heart beating in her eardrums as. A sudden warm feeling engulfed her still body, her nerves exciting as she ran with her child.
Neil!

Four weeks since Neil came back to his life. A life that was a miracle. A week back was when his heart started beating again without any machine or support. And a week later he had shown many signs of progress. He opened his eyes a week back but he was not able to talk. And then after another two days, he tried speaking.
Neil was sleepy most of the time he was awake, even though he was only awake for a few minutes. And every time he opened his eyes, those brown orbs only searched for one person who never came into his sight.
“A..Avni..”
Was what he uttered when his Dad leaned closer to decipher what he was about to say. Prakash only smiled, caressed his hair and told him she was alright. But he wanted to see her, hold her. And never ever let go.
Neil had such a big progress that the doctor's had seen. They were astonished and surprised because Neil's progress was indeed a miracle they never thought off. Neil could now sit down, stand up, walk a little. But most of the time he was bed ridden. He was physically showing a lot of progress but mentally and emotionally he showed none.
The Khanna family was with him 24× 7. He was physically with them but mentally, no. He neither smiled nor talked much. The only time they saw him smile and shed a few tears was when Neavi came there. As soon as the door was opened and Prakash led her in, the little girl ran to her Dada, yelling, Dada! He smiled with tears in his eyes as he engulfed his little girl in his arms. Holding her broke the strings of his heart, knowing how much he had hurt that little heart too.
His mind was calm with the help of Neavi’s warmth. But his heart was not. It needed her to heal. Everytime the door opened, he eagerly waited to see her but she never came.
He just wanted to cry while holding her, telling her how sorry he was for the things he said. It was too late when he realised his mistake, he knew, but he wanted to see her, tell her and heal her.
She might never trust me again. A voice in the back of his mind told him. And he refused to believe it.
Most of the time that he was alone, a lot of clouded thoughts crammed his mind. Peter’s words repeated in his mind on loop. After whatever he had done, she was always there. It wrenched his heart when he thought about all the times that he hurt her.
Avni deserved so much better. Someone better than him.
And that's when, that's the moment when he understood how she might have felt all the time. Alone with lots of demons eating her. He thought he healed her but no. Her wounds were afresh, they were only bandaged when she was with him, and it was ripped off every time by problems one by one. That wounds, the voices in her head, it was what made her do what she did. Why hadn't he realised it sooner?
Peter was right. He never knew her. He just bought Avni from Ananya but healing the broken Avni was a task which he failed in completing. Perhaps she might have wanted him to win in it but he failed her.
“Neil..” His mother's voice brought him back. His parents' eyes were filled with worry as they saw his eyes clouded with tears. “Papa.. I want to see her.” He said, whimpering, his voice torn apart.
