Five years later
TravisAli let out a little sigh of happiness as she dropped onto the porch swing next to me, resting her head against my chest as I rested my arms around her shoulders and dropped a kiss on her blonde hair. We looked out at the back garden, at the children playing together under the spray of the sprinkler.
Five year old Aria, with her cascading blonde hair and giggle that was exactly like her mother. Three year old Drew, with Ali's bright blue eyes and my brown hair. Eighteen month old twins Cassie and Nico, holding each others hands for balance since they'd only just stated getting the hang of walking. Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and three year old Eddie who had come as a surprise to Jason and Kylie, but was no less loved. The kids all ran around together as Ali and I sat on the porch swing, Jason and Kylie on the steps. Betty ran around with the kids, barking as she bounded through the sprinkler.
"Mommy, Mommy!" Aria - soaking wet in her pink togs - bounded up to us and thrust a flower out to my wife.
"Oh is this for me little duck?" Ali smiled, and Aria nodded.
"For you and baby!" Our oldest daughter smiled, placing the little daisy on Ali's swollen stomach.
"Thank you sweetheart." Ali smiled, and Aria giggled before running back off to join her siblings and cousins. "I swear." My wife sighed, touching her five month belly. "Last baby, no more after this."
"Yeah that's what you said when you were pregnant with Cass and Nico." I chucked, and Ali grinned up at me.
"I mean it this time, or we'll never stop." She whispered. "You know I'd have as many kids as you'd give me, but I still want a life with you."
"You'll always have a life with me my love." I kissed her lips lightly. "Maybe we should get you on some good birth control once this baby arrives, and I'll go to the doctor and see what I can do as well." Ali nodded, stretching up for another kiss. "Look at them." I murmured, motioning out to where the kids were playing. "We did that baby doll."
"We did." Ali murmured. Then she looked down, smiling. "Hello!" She crooned, reaching down and rubbing the heads of the three cats that had all appeared at the same time.
"No more cats either." I told her. Ali had talked me into two more cats in the last four years; the hilariously named Spoon (who Aria had chosen) and Bean (Drew). I thought they were truly awful names, but I had to love them.
"Hey!" My wife pouted, and I laughed as I pulled her close and kissed her.
"I love you baby." I murmured, and she sighed, smiling.
"I love you more."
