Julie's POV
I watch Vic walk out the door and shut it. I instantly get a flood of emotions. Did he really want to leave? Did I upset him? Does he really not want to ask me out? EVEN after he almost sucked my fucking flesh off? Does he just want to feel me? I really thought he wanted to maybe, I don't know, ask me to be his girlfriend. I'm too full of myself. My thoughts.
Suddenly, tears start dropping down my cheek, and I can't really stop it. I just really assumed after all of that, he would want to REALLY ask me out, that he would want to date me.
Four hours later
I lie in my bed and rest my eyes, more calmed down than a few hours ago.
I hear my phone beep. I look at the message,
"Get ready. I wanna take you somewhere." -Vic
"Okay."
God damn it, I'm gonna have to rush, he's near my apartment and I look like shit. I can do this, I've done it before.
I change into jeans and a tank top, putting a breezy zip-up sweatshirt over it. Because, you know, the insane-looking hickeys.
I hear his car roll up in the front. I grab my phone and keys and head out.
As I go down the stairs, I see Connie standing outside her door,
"Hey, Julie. Is that car for you?".
"Yeah, that's for me," I say.
"I met that guy in the car a couple of days ago. Such a sweetheart. Are you two dating?" she asks.
"No, we're not. But yes, he is pretty sweet".
"That's a shame. He's pretty charming," she chuckles.
"You're not wrong," I say smiling. I then wave goodbye to her and walk out the door.
I walk to Vic's car, open the door and get in.
"Hey," he smiles at me.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"Somewhere. It's a surprise".
We drive for a couple of minutes. I don't really recognize this place but he parks his car in the grass, starting to get out.
I sit in the car and look at the trees around me. The sky was still lit up with blue and hints of pink. I hear the car door open and it's Vic opening the door, offering me his hand.
I take his hand and get out of the car. I was confused as to why he was being so much more respectful but I wasn't complaining. Plus, he's never NOT respectful, something just feels different.
We walk towards the trees but stop in the middle of the long field of grass, Vic holding my hand and looking at me.
"What's going on?" I nervously chuckle.
"Do you like it here?" he asks me, his voice, calming as ever.
"Yeah, it's so beautiful..."
"I'm glad you like it," he says.
I take my eyes off him to get another look at the sky. I see hints of purple, pink, and mostly blue. The sight of the sky relaxes my body.
I feel Vic's hand slide down to my waist, gently pulling me towards his body and resting his hand on my lower back. I look back up at him and he's already looking at me, making me feel flustered inside.
"What?" I ask, smiling awkwardly at him.
"I just, can't take my eyes off of you".
Some sort of switch sets off in my chest. My heart instantly stops beating and I don't know what will come next.
"Julie, I want you to be my girlfriend," Vic says, putting his other hand on the side of my neck and holding it there,
"I want to be yours," he slightly whispers.
I feel my hands start to move up to the sides of his face, pulling him into a deepening kiss. His hands pull my back to his body and travel up my back, before breaking the kiss, "So, what do you say?".
"Of course, Vic. You never needed to ask. I'll be your girlfriend".
He puts his hands on my waist and kisses me, slipping his tongue into my mouth almost instantly. Suddenly, all my problems wither away. His lips are connected to mine and I couldn't pull away even if I wanted to. He moves my hair out of my face and moves his hands to hold my face.
After a while, we get back into the car and Vic leans over to me and goes straight back to kissing me, kissing down to my neck, moving my face back to his, and kissing my lips.
"Okay! Let's drive, maybe?" I say smiling.
"Fine," he smiles.
He drives to my apartment and parks in front. I gather my things and start to get out but he stops me by putting a hand on my thigh, slightly squeezing it.
"Do I have to leave you just yet?" he says seductively, mostly working.
"I wouldn't leave, but the landlord is expecting to see me," I say.
"Why?".
"Well, because of the rent. I haven't really paid it off in a couple of days".
"Really?" he asks, "You can't pay it?".
"Not exactly," I say, "but it's okay, I get paid soon".
I start to get out but I give him a quick kiss before finally getting out of the car, "Don't worry about it, Vic".
