Song for chapter: Kissing in Cars by Pierce The Veil
Present
Julie's POV
As I blankly stare, I snap back and close the mirror, clean up the sink, and walk out of the bathroom, going to try and find a bandaid.
I search in the kitchen and find nothing. I stand there and bend my arm to look at the cut as my eyes then wander off, looking at the knife rack.
My breath flutters as I squeeze my eyes shut and walk out of the kitchen, going to the downstairs bathroom and washing the blood that's slowly dripping down my arm.
I hear the door open and then close, "Julie? I'm back".
"Hey," I say as I grab more toilet paper and try to dry my arm with it, the toilet paper annoyingly falling apart as soon as it hits the water.
"Oh god, are you okay?" he says as he comes into the bathroom.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I just cut myself on a sharp part of the mirror".
"Let me get a bandage for that," he says as he walks away.
He then comes back with an ointment and a bandaid, lifting up my arm gently, and rubbing the ointment in as he puts the bandaid on.
"There, and I'll check out that sharp spot so it doesn't happen again".
"Thank you," I say shyly looking at him.
He moves my hair back and kisses me, his hand caressing the side of my neck before pulling away, "No problem, babe".
A few hours later
Vic's POV
As me and Julie are sitting on the couch watching a movie, she grabs a blanket and puts it over the both of us, her head resting on my shoulder.
I plant a kiss on her head and sneak my hand under the blanket so my hand can rest on her thigh. Making her look up at me. She kisses my jawline and moves down to the side of my neck, distracting me from the movie.
I take her chin with my fingertips and kiss her lips, deepening the kiss instantly.
I watch her then move her body and start to lean me backward onto the couch, then lie down as she gets on me and rests her body onto mine, kissing me.
"God," I say, my hands resting on her lower back above her jeans and sucking her into a kiss, "you're amazing".
"I love the way you taste," she whispers, getting a complimentary sigh out of me before slipping her tongue into my mouth and running her fingers through my hair before moving her hand down to my chest and resting it there.
I travel my hands up her back and under her shirt, feeling the back of her bra and tracing my fingers down to her hips and pulling them closer to my body. Her hand caressed the side of my face as she kissed me softly, before giving me one final kiss and breaking it as she giggled and sat back on the couch, leaving me to sit back up.
"Aw, man..." I joke, her smiling at me.
"I'm getting kinda tired," she says as she moves a few strands of hair out of her face.
"Well, then let's go upstairs," I say as I put my hand on her arm before getting up.
After we had gotten into my bed, she had fallen asleep after a few minutes, leaving me to watch her as she slept, her warm skin that makes me feel safe is touching mine.
I brush her cheek with my thumb as I start to feel myself drift off to sleep.
⚠️
I finish working on my song and close the laptop, setting my guitar down in the case before closing it.
I hear a slam, making me jump. I get up and exit my room to see what's happening and I start to walk down the stairs.
I hear it coming from the bathroom so I open the door and see Julie. Blood dripping down her arm and a pool of it in the sink.
"Julie... what happened..." I whisper.
"Nothing, I'm fine," she answers coldly, taking a razor blade and putting it over her skin.
I wake up, my heart racing and my mind confused. I look over at Julie who's peacefully sleeping, and my heart starts to slow back down.
God, that scared me, now I'm wide awake. I slowly move out of bed and put the blanket on Julie more so she doesn't wake up, then make my way to the bathroom.
I open the mirror, looking at the sharp edge before opening it fully and examining the shelves.
Toothpaste, and shaving supplies, there. The top shelf has a plastic container of extra razor blades. I grab them and put them in my pocket, then check any other cabinet or shelf I have in here.
I make my way to the downstairs bathroom, turn the light on and look in the shelves.
I find a tiny-ish pair of scissors and grab them, then exit the bathroom and head back upstairs.
I sneak into my room, quietly walking in and opening my closet door, hiding the blades and scissors in an empty box I found on the top shelf and put it back up before closing the door and heading back to the bed.
