𝘿𝘼𝙔𝙎 𝙋𝘼𝙎𝙎𝙀𝘿, Vivian and Conner played their parts as a couple with surprising ease.

One morning, as Vivian walked down the hallway to her locker, she spotted her former friends clustered together, shooting her glares. Normally, this would have sent a shiver down her spine, but today, she felt a hand slip into hers. She turned to see Conner giving her a reassuring smile.

"Morning," he greeted her, his voice warm and cheerful.

"Morning," she replied, squeezing his hand.

"You okay?" Conner asked softly as they continued walking.

Vivian nodded. "Yeah."

Together, they walked past the group. They shot Vivian icy glares, but she felt Conner's hand tighten around hers, reassuring her. He gave them a quick, stern look that made them back off.

Vivian also found herself growing closer to Kira and Ethan. Lunch became one of Vivian's favorite parts of the day. She enjoyed spending time with her new friends, whose humor and kindness made her feel welcome.

Kira was always full of stories about her latest gigs and songwriting adventures, while Ethan's enthusiasm for all things tech-related was contagious.

One day at lunch, Kira leaned across the table, a mischievous glint in her eye. "So, Vivian, how's it really going with Conner? You two seem pretty cozy."

Vivian blushed, glancing at her fake boyfriend. "We're... good."

Ethan grinned. "Yeah, and Conner's been way less grumpy since you came along."

Conner rolled his eyes. "Thanks, Ethan."

Ethan grinned at Vivian. "So, Viv, you still hanging out in the library with your mystery books?"

Vivian smiled, feeling more comfortable than she had in a long time. "Yeah, it's my favorite place. Plus, there's something about a good mystery that keeps me hooked."

Kira nudged her playfully. "You know, maybe one day you'll write your own mystery novel. You definitely have the imagination for it."

Vivian laughed. "Maybe. Who knows?"
