After the concert I felt tired and as if my body was ran over by a truck. I'm about to take off my bandana in the mirror but I catch a glimpse of the room where Finney is already ready for bed. He scrolls on his phone mindlessly. After admiring him I remember what i'm in there for.

"Hey Finn," I yell. I can see him in the corner of my eye look up. "Can you get me my toothbrush from my bag?" I knew it was something small, but I just wanted to stay in the warm bathroom. Finney didn't care, he wasted absolutely zero time going over to my suitcase and rummaging through it. I leaned against the cold porcelain counter and closed my eyes. I've been waiting for this for a long time. I feel a tap on my shoulder. I open my eyes and look back.

"Here, Robin." He almost whispered it. I know how tired he is from screaming into the mic all day and walking around stage.

"Thanks Finn, I appreciate it." We smile at each other before he walks back into the room. I turn back to the sink and begin to brush my teeth. I just kinda think a lot about everything. The band, the tour, the hot Arizona sun, the roar of the crowd. Everything. I think the only think i've ever wanted more was to get out of that basement all those years ago. I'm glad I'm not still haunted by the trauma as much. I have my days, of course, but i'll never feel that bad about it anymore. I'm at peace now. Even more so now that I'm doing what I've dreamt of for years.

"Robin?" Finney calls. I'm pulled out of thought. Worried about why he called, I spit into the sink.

"Yeah?" I reply, turning the faucet on.

"You alright?" He asks. "You're taking a while in there." A wave of relief washes over me knowing he's okay.

"Yeah. I'll be there in a second." And I stick to my word because I just brush my hair and set my bandana on the counter before joining him. He already has some cheesy movie playing on the tv. I crawl into bed and face Finn.

"What a day." I say, sighing with a smile. Finn smiles as well.

"Yeah. My throat is raw. Can't believe we have to do that for...2 months." He shuts his eyes tightly.

"Thankfully Donna looked out for us, we have good breaks in-between each one. Tomorrow we can just tour Arizona and enjoy it." I try to make light of the situation. I don't want to ruin this wonderful experience with a few screams. We sit in silence for a bit. Just staring at the ceiling.

"You did amazing." I break the silence, looking over at him again. Finney smiles softly.

"Thanks. You did too."

"Yeah, but you were better."

"Anyone can sing, not everyone can play guitar."

"Liar. Have you heard me sing?" We laugh for a bit before I notice him drifting off.

"You're amazing Finney. Like, seriously. In everything. School, being a friend, singing..." I ramble on about things he's good at and he opens his eyes and faces me. I assume it's because I called him Finney. I never call him by his full name unless I' m super serious or something.

"Are you okay? Why are you acting like you're not going to be here anymore?" I go silent and look at his face.

"Yeah! I'm just really appreciative today. You dropped everything to get me my toothbrush." I say with a small chuckle.

"Its not a big deal. Its just a toothbrush."

"But it wasn't to me. You didn't ask why I couldn't do it myself, you just...did it for me." We both go quiet again and Finn begins to drift off again. I too start getting tired and decide to let it overcome me.
