I walked down the driveway of the Chateau, I cleared my throat "Why did you want me here?" I asked Sarah and I noticed JJ by the tree, I couldn't look at him anymore.
"I needed you here. We need you here." Sarah said and I crossed my arms then looked at the Pogues. John B stepped up and sighed "My dad was taken by Singh and his men..." He said and I frowned "What?" "Singh and his men took him down to South America, we really need you Liv... My dad needs you." John B said and I looked out towards the dock.
"I- I don't know..." "Liv, please. I'm sorry for snapping at you... I realize now that you really tried to help us." Pope said and I nodded not wanting to look at them because if I do I might not be able to control my emotions. "I am sorry about calling you crazy, I was just mad and I know you're not like Taylor or Rafe." Pope told me and I smirked "No, you were right Pope... all of it, I'm a Kook..." I told them and Pope shook his head. "But you're also a Pogue..." he said but I shook my head, tears welling in my eyes.
"Look. Kook, Pogue, we still love you." John B said and he stood in front of me. "You're my family... Please." He said grabbing my hand and I looked down and smiled at the bracelet I had given him when we were younger, I have the same one, it's our cousin bracelets.
"Okay... but how would we get to South America?" "I can get us down to the Orinoco." Sarah said and JJ spluttered "Are you serious?" Sarah nodded and Cleo frowned "Okay. And how's that gonna happen?" Cleo asked and Sarah cleared her throat "My dad's gonna let us use the plane." My face dropped and I remembered Rafe told me he was on the island.
"Ward?" "Your dad?" JJ and Pope questioned and I looked at John B and he was silent. "We lay low tonight, then wheels up first thing in the morning." "Okay, that's a lot to process. Your dad actually helping us." Pope said and Sarah nodded "I talked to him. He'll do it." Sarah said and Cleo sighed. "So we trusting Ward now?" "Trust Sarah." Kiara said and she looked at me and I nodded "I trust her..." I muttered and Cleo shrugged "All right." "That's all I needed to hear." Her and Pope said and I sighed "Wait, I also just have one more thing to say. Um... Since we've gotten back from the island, I've done some things that I regret. A lot." Sarah said looking between all of us then to John B and i frowned, Kiara cleared her throat then looked at the ground.
"Yeah, uh... I feel... I feel like we've all done a thing or two that we regret." John B said and looked at JJ who scoffed. I finally looked at him and I sighed "Yeah, I uh I do regret not talking to you guys about my plan... trying to be a double agent... you know. I needed it to look real." I said and they laughed but I sighed "I thought just maybe I could get the gold back for us but I was wrong." I said and Pope shrugged "It's okay..." he said and John B nudged JJ.
"I'm sorry..." JJ said and he looked to the ground then John B nudged him again. "I'm sorry for slapping you... that was out of bounds and I'm sorry..." he said and I nodded "Thank you, JJ..." I said and cleared my throat.
"You see... Poguelandia, guys. It's all I've been able to think about. We were all together on that island, and it was a good thing, and I don't want to ruin a good thing." Sarah said and I shrugged "I mean I did go crazy on the island..." I said and Sarah looked ones at me then I sighed "But... I'm glad it was you guys there, you tried your best to help me." I said as I wiped my few tears I had away.
